I took my car in for a Nissan mandated recall. We arranged to drop off the car the evening before so the service could be worked in at any time throughout the next day. We used the key drop box without any issues and left the vehicle in a well lit safe area. The next morning at @10:00 I received a call informing me that the car was already done and ready for pick up. The pick up process was flawless as I was directed to the cashier’s window, signed two different forms, and was told to wait by the nearest door while an employee delivered my car right to me. A very positive experience!!
We were traveling from DC to CT on Dec 26 when our Nissan Murano seemed to have an issue. The “service engine soon” light had been on, we smelled a strong odor of motor oil in the cabin, and the change motor oil maintenance light went on. Spoiler alert: it was an unbelievable series of non-urgent coincidences but I was panicked. We pulled off the highway and googled the nearest Nissan Dealership which turned out to Bob Bell Nissan only a couple of miles away. Allan Thompson was the Nissan Service specialist who “lucked out” and had to speak with us. To say that he was patient and helpful would be an understatement! He ran a scan on the system to see what might have triggered the “service engine soon” alert - nothing dire. He pointed out that the motor oil maintenance light was just a maintenance reminder we had crossed the 3000 miles since the last oil change about seven miles ago!. And, he checked under the hood thoroughly finding no oil leaks and noting that the oil was clean and looked good. Totally reassured, I asked if we could pay for his time but he refused. Wishing us a happy new year, he sent us on our way and we had an uneventful trip home. Thank you so much Allan and Bob Bell Nissan!
My car was brought there because the oil light kept coming on and one day out of nowhere the break locked up. I paid $160 for them to tell me what needed to be fix. However, could not afford to get any work done because they told me it would cost $7000 to fix. The service man, who's name I won't reveal, told me pretty much that my vehicle was a junk vehicle and I might as well purchase another car. I was ready to have a tow truck take it to be junked until I remembered that knew a certified mechanic. After he looked at the invoice and my car, he informed me that my car could be fixed for around $900 total. The parts for my vehicle only costed about $300. Bob Bell eastern ave was charging me over $6000 in labor costs. This my first time dealing with this place, and my last!! I would not recommend anyone to use this place to service their vehicle. They will over charge you or try to convince you that you need a new vehicle, likely from them. Worst experience, bad information, over priced labor!!!
My experience was positive as the work was completed efficiently and I was pleasantly surprised that I had accrued cash credits to apply to my bill. This is definitely a plus since I maintenance my car according to the Nissan recommendations.
I had transmission issues and David went over and above to get my warranty extended to cover the replacement. The parts took quite a while to come in but I was provided a rental until mine was ready. Awesome Job!
This experience was A LOT different than the last. Yes I was greeted when I pulled up in line but after that I didn’t hear from ANYONE until my vehicle was done with the service job. No one updated me on what was going to be done what needed done or what could wait. No appreciation gift NOTHING!!!!!! I was RUSHED through the whole visit !!!!! So not what I’m used to with BOB BELL !!!!
DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE FOR SERVICE, ESP. THAT IS NOT WARRANTY. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!! These people are IMPOSSIBLE to get on the phone. I have called about 15 times and never gotten a service employee on the phone even once. They "fixed" my car for $1000, but the check engine light appeared within a day - which had NEVER happened before that. I'm pretty sure at this point they've messed something up and are just not telling me. I've called, but of course there is never a response with these people. If this issue isn't resolved at no additional cost I plan to SUE them in small claims. This is absolutely ridiculous.
Had my car towed to your dealership for alternator repair, was quoted “around $1,000” on the phone by David Sines. Came out to be $1,465 with $799 in labor…for an alternator. Called back twice and left voicemails to discuss. That’s price gouging at its finest. Extremely disappointed as I am currently in the market for a new vehicle and your the closest Nissan dealership to me.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BOB BELL. Our 2021 Nissan Leaf has been at the dealership for the past 7 months because it needs a new battery. It is a 2021 model and the battery is covered under warranty. The dealership keeps giving us the excuse that the battery is back ordered. They haven’t offered a rental and we’ve been making the $650 payment for the past 7 months. The only resolution they have offered us is $10k towards a new car when we still owe $15k on our loan and the KBB value is $23k. We are now pursuing legal action against the dealership through the attorney generals office and BBB.
I wouldn't know if it was completed right or not. I was there for recalls that Nissan was aware of a year or so ago; but parts were not available until summer 2022. After discussing my MANY concerns with Mr. Allen Thompson as to how my vehicle was damaged due to these faulty parts he treated me as a "recall appt'. I had a few dashboard lightsengine malfunction on and asked if he could check them, sure he said for $160.00. I do not have that kind of $ right now. I did not cause this mess. My Nissan has been damaged, I told him I did not feel safe driving this vehicle, the engine cutting off with no warning. Not just once. My insurance rates are insane from "at fault" accidents. Do you think Geico or the police officers care I have a postcard from Nissan saying I have several recalls, potentially dangerous but just hold your breath til Nissan has them available. I am 53 years old and my driving record has deteriorated since I've been in this 2018 Nissan Sentra. My car is barely 5 years old with 39,500 miles on it. Should be a nice reliable car, well it's not. I can't sell it because of the body work damage, my steering and suspension concerns. I'm completely disappointed that Nissan didn't have the parts available when they initially reported them. I'm frustrated, I'm limited to where I can drive. I feel let down, taken advantage of and will never ever recommend Nissan to my family, friends or anyone I hear mention Nissan.
