When you walk in the Shubet theater there is a big stage. There are 3 rows there is a balcony on each side for 2 people. If you have the balcony tickets they cost more. The balcony seats have a great view. Also you can get up from your seats and go to the restroom. But if you buy ticket for a family they cost $56 per person. And can not get up and go to the restroom. There a great view if you sit near row C or G seats the middle row up top. The shows take 1hour. The food is not expensive they sell ,candy in a box, drinks ( Snapple, water, beer, soda)

We were seating at the last raw at the balcony. Sound was good, seats are too small and the knees are almost touching the head of the person seating in front(BTW, I am a short person). The worst was that the heat was coming at us as the AC was broken and we where getting cooked. Great location with many restaurants around to eat before and after the show.

Great theater, nice seats, comfortable. They metal detectored me and I had my little pocket knife, they kindly kept it until after the show, and it was easy to retrieve. My stupid mistake, nice that it didn't disappear.

We attended the performance of Shanghai dance company. It was a delight. The show was based on a Chinese folklore story of a young man falling in love with a crane. It is almost like Chinese Swan lake.
The costumes and the stage production we're exquisite and the level of detail was extraordinary.
The dancers we're beautiful and graceful. The whole experience was wonderful and worth getting out of the house in a frigid night in Boston .

A comfy vibe for pretty midsized stage shows. Centrally located (by the common) and plenty of food and things to do around after your show. Good bathrooms, too.
