Garrett Hendricks is an outstanding real estate professional. I was sure where I wanted to live in Northern Manhattan, but was unsure of the apartments on the market. Garrett showed me many apartments, as nothing was grabbing me right away. Once I saw the one I really wanted to move into, Garrett submitted my paperwork. At the same time, another applicant submitted an application, as well. To ensure I got the apartment, Garrett asked if I could move in sooner. I was ready to take possession immediately. He communicated with the management company to find out if that would seal the deal, and it did. I would recommend to anyone looking for an apartment to contact Garrett Hendricks. He is professional and does his research for apartments his clients are interested in.

This review is for Garrett Hendricks: Navigating the concrete jungle of New York City is an overwhelming challenge, but with super-broker Garrett it was no problem at all. Garrett was courteous from the moment I reached out until even after the apartment lease was signed. He takes a personal investment in each of his clients and the dedication he shows is second to none. His patience and knowledge make him an excellent resource to ask questions (as a first time renter in New York City this was extremely comforting, and a testament to Garrett’s patience). I plan to recommend Garrett when my friend’s leases are up because I want them to have the same easy-going process that I experienced working with Garrett; the city never sleeps but you can rest easy on finding an apartment with Garrett.

My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of viewing several units with Garrett Hendricks. Although we ended up finding an apartment elsewhere, I wanted to be sure to take a moment to recommend Garrett. He was knowledgeable, friendly, flexible, maintained good communication, and was otherwise exactly the type of agent you want to be working with in the sometimes stressful and overwhelming task of apartment hunting. He was genuinely interested in figuring out the type of living situation we were looking for and we never felt compelled or pressured to consider listings that were not what we wanted, as can so often happen with some agents. On two different occasions I have tried to see a property in Harlem (Savoy Park), which is unfortunately exclusively represented by Bohemia. Sadly, I haven’t even been able to see the property because at least two of their agents apparently can’t be bothered to show outside of the 2 hour open house windows, which may not work for everyone’s schedule. On both occasions I legitimately tried to work with the agent to find an alternative time only to become frustrated with ridiculous times offered and unresponsiveness (I would’ve been thrilled to take one of the times Lauren offered, however, she went radio silent for 48 hours). Savoy Park was at the top of my list of apartments I wanted to see as I am relocating back to NYC. I am not new to NYC or to renting an apartment in Manhattan. Likewise, as a former fairly successful NYC real estate agent myself with expertise listing rentals, I have heard tons of stories about unprofessional agents who don’t seem to understand their job, however, this is the first time I’ve encountered such amateur practices on my own search and it’s infuriating to deal with when moving is already stressful enough.
