Since the remodel they have really improved. They still have a lot to work on staff wise but the facility is nice now.

I took my mom there for chest pains. They were rude, inconsiderate, and just all around asses!!! They were talking about other patients and how they didn't want to treat them. My mom asked the doctor, Terry Thomas, to tell me the things he just told her cause I had stepped out and he just looked at me and turned and walked away without saying a word. The nurse was rude and flipped his badge around so I couldn't see his name. I told my ol man and he told me who it was. His name is Joe Thompson. I will never go back to that place.

Just terrible all around. The new building looks nice but that's about the only positive thing I can say. I've been here three times since the makeover and that's three too many; twice for labs and once in the ER in the middle of the night for a severe tooth abscess when I couldn't get into a dentist. The ER visit was very "robotic" and uncaring. They did what needed done and I did get some antibiotics to give me some relief, but it just wasn't a good experience. I then had a doctor's order for labs. They were to release the results directly to my doctor. They only sent HALF of them. And the registration clerk that saw me couldn't find the codes in the computer system when they were checking me in. I called to have them fax the remaining portion of my labs and was told it would be sent. It wasn't. I called back and was told it couldn't be faxed. Why wasn't I told this before I waited nearly an hour for a fax that wasn't coming? I drove 90 minutes to physically pick them up. I specifically asked the clerk if that was my complete results and she assured me it was. When I got back to the doctor, the other half of the results STILL were not in the paperwork! Ridiculous. I knew they weren't top-tier but I thought surely they could draw a tube of blood and let my doctor know what was in it! I will not be going back, and I urge everyone else to just head directly to one of CAMC's hospitals. I've had friends go in with something serious and be told it was nothing. And I've had friends go in with minor problems and be told they might have cancer. They just play guessing games here and don't care about their patients -- and giving the building a facelift will not change that.

I LOVE Boone Memorial. They have always had nice drs and staff that worked with me. I have always been treated well and took good care of. So much better than Logan. I just don't like there not being more ppl working. I got lost trying to get out and security was a little rude at first. I ended up coming out back somewhere. There should be security at every desk to let people out as needed. I really didn't like coming outside on the back of building in the middle of night with car keys as my only defense if someone were to do something to me. Far as Dr care and nurses...they are wonderful amd try to make you feel as comfortable as possible and very nice and courteous.
