Boston Public Library East Boston Branch

The library itself is quite nice with a perfect location just a short walk from the Airport stop off the blue line. There's a great spot outside in the front you can sit and read. I came here to study and it was silent for the first hour, but don''t expect that after school hours. As soon as 3:00 hit, kids came rushing in screaming and yelling and the staff didn't and couldn't really do anything about it. It's nice, but even with noise-cancelling headphones, it's quite loud.

Best library, kindest staff. Could use more books and less computers but staff will help order books if you can't find them.

The library is clean and staff is helpful and very nice. Great selection for children books and books in Spanish

If you don’t mind some noise, it’s a perfect library to get some work done. Noise is primarily coming from children playing, but I won’t complain because 1/4 of the library space is dedicated to children, plus I have noise cancelling headphones. Architecturally, it’s a modern library with a great view of the greenway and a community garden. Very well built. It’s a pleasure visiting!

This library has a great sunny area, out front, to read with Adirondack chairs!

Do not, And I’m saying this again DO NOT come to this library. I do not recommend it due to the noise levels and some of the staffs. “R” Could be good on some days but that’s rare. Too many kids and very hard to focus.

Friendly staff and a great place to study! I love that it’s lively here. I just put in some earbuds so I could focus. If I forget my earbuds, I use the silent reading room to study

Love this library, awesome! All people are focused and studying on their work, Children remain quiet and they have a great selection of books for them. Kids can also go on the computers to play fun games. Books are AMAZING! Outside is perfect for reading books as well. Inside is very clean and decorative. Staff are very friendly.

Very nice architecture design, but very very loud. Sometimes there seems to be people working over calls because of the wifi or not really sure but a library is not a place to use a headset and make calls like crazy. One day a lady behind me was conducting an interview over call... So disrespectful to others.

Worth a visit just for the building alone. This is what public urban architecture should be. Amazing views of the park, and outdoor seating where you can lounge and read in comfortable Adirondack chairs. A great selection of activities for children. A really wonderful addition to East Boston.
