Botanero Restaurant

Small little place. The workers here put off a vibe of a newly opened restaurant still trying to find their balance. Interesting good choices. All seemed like they might be quite good, especially because it really smelled nice inside. I only stayed for a beer, and sat at the limited bar, but I was very intrigued by this place. This place has a kind of romantic atmosphere, so I would consider bringing my woman here, on a real date, if we were in the area.

Very good food and the staff is very personable and attentive. Whether you are on a first date or catching up with friends, the restaurant offers an intimate setting that's relaxed and welcoming. The menu changes slightly each season so not everything that you see on the online menu is what they have on the nightly menu. I have enjoyed the lamb chops, Brussels sprouts, pork belly, calamari to name a few. There is a nice selection of beers and cocktails instead of opting for the wine and sangria. While they don't promote it, they do have great desserts too. The descriptions of the desserts don't always fit your personal descriptions--for instance, they have a "vanilla cookie with chocolate chips" which is actually a warm chocolate chip cookie but they just won't call it a chocolate chip cookie (arrrgh!!)--but it's still delicious and incredibly tasty. The chef adds a few new desserts each week so there is always something new to try.

Good menu and excellent service. We ordered a wide range of small dishes and they were all very good. One problem is the noise level. I realize that restaurants are going for a lively atmosphere but I hate having to shout to have a conversation.

I really liked this place. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and when you go during happy hour from 5 - 7 p.m. the prices were reasonable at the bar with a good selection on the limited happy hour menu. Most notable was there Jalapeno Margarita that needed some getting used to but was at the end a very pleasant experience. They also have outdoor seating available, which looked nice enough and the road seemed quiet.
