Boulevard Seafood Company is the first restaurant expansion for the Boulevard Restaurant Group (BRG), which was founded in 2006. BRG operates its successful BoulevardFive72, the critically acclaimed restaurant and banquet facility located in Kenilworth, NJ.
Chef/Owner Scott Snyder, and his wife Allison head the project. Scott is a Culinary Institute of America alumnus and a 25-year veteran in the industry. Allison Snyder is also a CIA graduate, and a former corporate Food and Beverage Sales Manager at the World Trade Center Marriott.
Boulevard Seafood Company’s restaurant in Somerville (bearing the same name as the group’s wholesale business) features a retail sales department complete with both locally and internationally harvested fish, shellfish (including cold water lobster), octopus, and other mollusk species. The retail area additionally offers prepared seafood based soups, seasoned fish fillets, crab cakes, salmon cakes, dressings, rubs, oils and seafood salads.
An open kitchen is the focal point of the 70-seat restaurant, with counter seating and bistro height tables for great views of the cooking and expediting lines. To the rear of BSC is a casually appointed dining room with a separate rear entry for access to the town’s municipal parking lot, train station and outdoor seating area during the warm weather months.
