I have lived at Bradford Mills for almost 3 years now. The maintenance team is responsive, the front office is polite and helpful, and there is usually some kind of promotion or event happening. I have been treated well and would recommend this apartment community to anyone.
I lived at Bradford Mills for 2 years and truly enjoyed it. Many restaurants & things to do are within walking distance or a short bike ride. The apartment offers nice amenities—large workout area with lots of equipment, a pool, a courtyard with grills, a fire pit. My favorite parts of the apartment were the old wood floors and the large windows. Our apartment was on the top floor of the 1126 building and was west-facing, so we could see sunsets & airplanes thankfully no airplane noise. The downsides of BML include difficulty with getting packages delivered. Most times I did not have problems, but occasionally I couldn’t find a package that was delivered or an inexperienced delivery person would say they could not deliver my package. Parking is also limited: the surface lot is free but has limited spots and the garage has assigned spots but for a monthly fee. I would also recommend being selective about which unit you choose as the ground floor units facing the courtyard do not have as much privacy.
We lived here for 3 months as a temporary place and we really enjoyed it! Management is wonderful! We moved from out of state and got there late and weren't satisfied with our apartment. Even though it was closing time, they helped us get another one and worked with our budget. Maintenance was great too, we had a few minor issues that were fixed right away, within the day or Monday if it was the weekend. We had a 2 bedroom and the high ceilings and big windows make the place feel big. I loved the big windows, they brought in so much sunlight and warmth! although they also make the apartment colder, we kept the heat at 69F and turned it down when we left and we did not have extremely high energy costs like I thought we would. We were on the fourth floor facing the city and we had spectacular view and sunsets! The kitchen was a great size and the appliances were spotless and seemed brand new. The bathroom was also a great size and had a big vanity in the master bedroom. If you move here you will not need a gym membership, it has the nicest and biggest gym I've ever seen at an apartment. Lots of equipment and machines! I do have some complaints though... The floors hardwood floors, they have cement too they are old and original to building which is really cool, but they were extremely dirty when we moved in and a pain to continue to keep clean. Also nails were always popping out, so we got lots of ripped socks. I feel like compared to most places sound travels in this apartment. You can always hear the neighbors conversations very clearly and a dog next door barking sounded like it was in your bedroom. We always felt bad knowing our neighbors could hear everything we were doing. The wifi was quite terrible, it never really worked, sometimes we wouldn't have any. But as we were moving out it was an issue management was actively trying to fix, because management was wonderful! Even with these issues said, if we weren't buying a house, I would have loved to continue living here!
Everyone has always been very helpful and kind anytime I have needed something. This applies from the first call from the first I have made inquiring about Bradford Mills until this review I am making. Katie will go above and beyond to help you and make you feel welcomed.
My family and I moved in earlier this year and we’re enjoying our stay here! The amenities are amazing! Truly unmatched compared to other apartments in the city. The gym, the pool, the valet trash service, the parking garage, the package lockers, etc. It’s nothing like any other apartment I’ve ever rented. The ladies in the leasing office are some of the nicest and most professional people! The maintenance team is great as well! The couple times I’ve had issues, they’ve responded and handled things quickly. Overall, living here has been good! However, the things I don’t care for is the open, “no-ceiling” design in the apartments. It looks great but there’s no way to really conceal any noise which can be a problem at times. Also, the hardwood floors are original, again, looks great but just like the building, they’re old so walking around your apartment can be noisy. And lastly, as a mom of small children 5 and 2 years old who can be noisy at times, some of the tenants are cool and understanding while others aren’t : All in all.. Great apartment, great amenities, great management! Nice place to live.
I had great experience at BML. The staff was incredible and there was a sense of community within the buildings. The maintenance team is quick to respond and even will hang photos or a tv for you for free. The apartments are nice but do lack adequate storage/closet space. The amenities were great. I especially enjoyed the courtyard as a space to meet folks and their fur babies. I don’t have any real complaints from my time living there.
Bradford Mills refused to process a rental application without a social security number. This appears to be a form of housing discrimination by ones race and national origin a violation of the Fair Housing Act. Multiple attempts to subsequently contact Bradford Mills were unsuccessful. I'll be consulting with the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission and the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights.
Been at Bradford Mills Lofts for 4years! I love it here. Katie is also a HUGE reason I love living here! I would recommend Bradford Mills Lofts to everyone.
The exposed ceiling in my apartment is amazing - I get so much natural light in my bedroom! Great for plants.
