I usually don't do reviews, but this really hurts.. I had a bad experience with the person that received me. I am not too sure what his position was. As a customer, I believe I have the right to ask questions that seems not clear to me. These were my question: 1. Is the diagnostic fee taken out from my main payment if I decide to fix my car with them? 2. How long will it take for me to get the diagnostic results ? His answer1: The diagnostic result does not go into the main payment even if I decide to fix it with them His answer 2: I am not certain My response to answer 1: that is not what I am use to. A lot of autoshop usually take this off when one decides to fix their car with them My response to answer 2: i would really like to know so i can properly plan my schedule or see if I can wait His answer 3: 'there are other shops around you can go to. I advise you take uber Home' At this point I have already given him my car keys. I was surprised with his response. He was actually telling me to leave. My response: sir, I think that is my decision to make if I want to wait or leave, nevertheless you don't know where I am coming from His answer 4: Sir please leave I dont want to fix your car I felt stereotyped and disappointed. I was not sure where that came from. I had come to this place based on the reviews, maybe my case was different for whatever reason. I wished I had a different experience and was given the chance to review based on the quality of service. Fortunately for me, I was able to get a better service elsewhere, quick diagnostics3hrs, and a quality service. I won't mention the vendors name because I am not out to spoil Braxton auto business. I just want them to learn from my experience to better serve other people irrespective of thier looks, race, etc...... Personally I know I wont step foot there again and I am sure they don't want me to. This is just my honest review
I brought my 5-year Honda Odyssey to Braxton for a 30K maintenance, as well as to check out a potential battery issue and whether I needed to change my tires. I was very impressed with the customer service and the level of care they demonstrated. When not able to identify a battery issue right away, they suggested with my permission to go on a 20-min drive to try to replicate my battery-related challenges. None were found, putting my mind at ease. When it came to the tires, they also gave me the facts, that the tires were 4/32 and 5/32 inches, definitely not new-ish which would be more like 9/32 or 10/32 inches but also not bald 2/32 inches, and did not try to hard sell me but allowed me to make up my own mind. I eventually decided to replace my tires as I anticipated using my car in snow / icy conditions in the near future. They were also willing to match Costco's prices on the tires close to $200 difference after I was able to prove that differential existed online. All aspects of the service were clearly itemized, and the prices were more than fair. Definitely recommend and also arm yourself with price-matching tools as they are flexible on this front.Services: Tire rotations
Braxton Automotive is the only place I take my 2007 Acura TL. They do service the way it should be done. They are professional, friendly, do what is asked and do a full inspection to let you know what else, if anything, needs to be done. Then if they find multiple things, they tell you the priority of each so you can do the repairs you need now, plan for those that don't HAVE to be done right now, and keep within your budget. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Gil and his team are just great!Services: Steering & suspension repair
Not listed: break pads and fluid. Fourth year of work with the Braxton team Northside @ 10th, since the extended warranty expired in my Honda. Gill is great with customers: efficient, knowledgeable, courteous, ever trustworthy and not ever patronizing as a female customer in the car industry I have seen plenty of arrogance and not a whole lot I can trust. The mechanic team is impeccable, always handle my CRV with care and expertise. Thank you, Braxton team!Services: Oil change
Sent a very detailed description of their inspection, including photos. The inspection and estimate were in a pdf, which made it so much easier to review. Highly recommend.
On a road trip back to NJ and had to stop here cause the screw for the tires wasn't coming off. I was really happy about them being so nice to help us!

BEWARE BRAXTON TRIED TO FRAUD ME OUT OF $8255.74 ON MY BMW 520i. If you are a female, and think you can trust Braxton Automotive think again. They tried to charge me $8255, for a new transmission which I did not need! I’ve been a loyal customer and from 2015. All repairs and regular annual services were done by them. The first foolery was they charged me $435. To put in transmission fluid to see if transmission leaking. I had already established that and advised. My was car driving when I brought it in, then they kept it for 4 days then said I need a new transmission! Plus the car no longer drives! I nearly paid $8255, but decided to get it towed and get a 2nd opinion. Can you imagine they lied, the tow man asked why did I get it towed, because it drove right on the ramp? I got a second option and the mechanic looked under the car found the leak, and said the transmission pan needed replacing $250. The mechanic advised if my transmission was gone it would not drive. This happen on April 2020, my car is in perfect condition still driving and being serviced next door to Braxton, for half the price. I have both invoices Braxton fake invoice and receipt for transmission pan, from mobile mechanic. Never again will I step inside Braxton for there lies, it makes me wonder how much more did I pay for the previous 5 years of service? Braxton should be ashamed of them selves. I’ll be reporting then to the Better Business Bureau. Re invoice #85336. You should not treat loyal customers that way. I may hire a lawyer as this is a clear case of fraud and I would hate for this to happen to any one else. LESSON LEARNT - ALWAYS GET A SECOND OPINION EVEN IF YOU ARE A LOYAL CUSTOMER!Service: Transmission
