Bridgeyard - Old Town

I cannot express how grateful I am for the incredible service I received from Yosef at the leasing office! From our first interaction, he made me feel welcome and valued. He patiently walked me through the entire renting process, answering every question I had—no matter how small. His friendly demeanor and professionalism made everything so much easier. I moved in about a month or two ago and it has been a very poor experience. First and foremost, this place is infested with roaches. I was promised it would be taken care of, but have not heard anything and was stood up when I was told they were coming to spray. There are random, unexplained fees on my account that make the rent much higher, and you have to tell them something over 10 times if you want a response. I have not been able to use my kitchen once, due to the infestation, so I am essentially overpaying for a roach infested box. I wasn't going to leave a review, but I can't live like this anymore and want to warn others. There are countless other problems, but this post is solely focused on the bugs. The broken appliances and leaks are a whole other story. Below I have attached just a few of the pictures I have taken of roaches this week alone.

Yosuf got me all setup smoothly, and was able to approve me quickly. The prices are about normal for similar apartments in the area, and the location is perfect, right next to a bunch of cities including Old Town, which I love. The view is fantastic! Come take a tour of the apartments before passing up on this place. The apartments are quite spacious. I do wish the kitchen was bigger for the price though. A bunch of friendly dogs all around which I love! The fact that you have to pay for laundry is a bummer honestly, but not a reason to decline living here. Great place, location, and people!

I have lived in this apartment for a year now and I can say this is a terrible apartment. The only redeeming factor is the location, but there are better apartments in this area for the same price. After about two weeks living here, I started seeing roaches everywhere, it was hard to even sleep with the idea that roaches are crawling on the walls. And the laundry room is dirty with most machines not even working, and you have to pay for each load. Not to mention the elevators don’t work every other week. Now they’re raising the rent, how do they decide to raise the rent when they got roaches, broken laundry machines and elevators that don’t work?

We've just moved in to Bridgeyard apartments, and so far are loving it. They are dog friendly, and have really beautiful renovated apartments with updated appliances. They are in a fabulous location near old town, with views of the Potomac, and close to trails and parks. The price is right too. All the staff I've encountered have been fantastically helpful and kind. Some small repairs were needed and completed within 24 hours of reporting.

Hi everyone, I just moved to new apartment at Bridgeyard. I have been out of the States for 7 years and it was so hard to rent a place and to start from the beginning. Caveat Emptor Buyer beware...The elevators are often broken and need to be repaired. This is a good location and safe neighborhood, but the building itself is over 70 years old and in need of repair. Air conditioners blow mold into apartments, even after you've washed the filter. There are no washers and dryers in the apartments themselves, and the shared laundry room is dirty, and half of the machines are out of order. If you can afford something better, lease in another building with a higher rating. Nothing worse than having to trek up and down 7 flights of stairs with an arm full of laundry. Then half the washers and dryers are out of order.
