Always have a great time here, even when it’s burger week and the staff is slammed. Food is creative and delicious, good tap selection, and quick service.
Pretty good Burger Week Burger. A solid 7/10 burgers. Fast service-- Only took about 10 minutes to order and receive burgs! But... they definitely just plopped some tortilla chips on the burgers lol them's ain't chicharrones. Kind of a let-down since the picture they posted definitely has actually chicharrones
Definitely expected more from this place during "Burger Week". The burger was just plain nasty. Have never had a bad experience here until last night. Took two bites and the rest went in the trash. Not sure if I will ever come back after this. Avoid this place during Burger Week. Giving it 2 stars because this place used to be quality. Hopefully the quality bounces back.
I have been a regular at Home, A Bar for about three years. I have met some wonderful people during that time, thanks to the time I've spent there. I've watched the staff shut down any shenanigans towards folks that may be part of a marginalized group. Although I don't identify as part of a marginalized group, I do appreciate that they look out for others and strive towards making a safe spot for everyone to hangout and enjoy themselves. Wonderful staff, great pub food, nice people. I am proud to call Home, A Bar my watering hole and am thankful for the many memories I've accumulated during my uh-hum, frequent visits.
The best pulled pork nachos around. Good food, good service, and good prices.
Good food and friendly staff. I came here because my Christmas plans were cancelled at the last minute, but they stepped in with a good Christmas dinner, good beer and good cocktails - try the old fashioned, they do something that gives it a cinnamon kick. And I got to watch Die Hard.Food: 5/5
Great, underappreciated spot, especially for watching sports. Feels good to bring a few friends here for their first time, telling them it’s the right place to watch the game, and getting multiple thumbs up afterwards. Especially great for soccer games. Better-than-expected coffee and breakfast for early matches. Friendly crowd.
I have only been twice, but holy moly what a great cheese burger! If it's late and you need a solid meal, highly recommend this place!Food: 5/5
Home is a classic PDX dive that used to be even weirder couches, lounge-style weird but now it's just tables, darts and draft beer. Fine to crawl into every now and then.
Just as the femur forms the ball and socket hip joint with the hip bone and forms the knee joint with the tibia and patella, so does HOME, A Bar seem to produce forms called Hipsters that shuffle in and out its doors and/or coalesce into lumpy 'n' dumpy bumps 'pon its picnic tables, outfront, and, otherwise, do whatever godsawful things that Hipsters ... *ahem* "do." Do with the aforementioned and nonsensical "information" what ye will. I know what I would and do do and that's: avoid HOME, A Bar like the flea-ridden rats that brought about so many plagues in our world's history.
