Brookside Bagels

Cozy little place on Hopmeadow street. I often go here for lunch right after the gym. Lineups can be very long, but tend to move fast. Even so, I would suggest ordering ahead. Parking can be quite tough here because the lot is tiny. If you're undecided, go for the Nova Lox on jalapeno cheddar bagel.

This place is fantastic. Everything is amazing. It's a Simsbury staple. Only downside is Saturday because the line is always out the door. I highly recommend the breakfast special. Eggs, meat, home fries, a bagel & coffee for under $7.

When I went in I thought some things were pricey. But the wrap I had was sooooo worth it!!. It was packed with the perfect portions and flavor. I saved the other half for later.

A lovely experience here this Saturday afternoon (3/24/18). Patient, kind people. No one rushed me even though there was a line,. No one annoyed that my hands were slow (bad arthrtis and nerve problem making my left hand even slower.). Very kind young folks at the counter,. AND, I had purchased some food to share with my new rescue senior “pup”—-we were just delighted to meet a group of sweet young people who fussed over my boy, Hubble, and were also very kind to me. Young people being kind, relaxed, easy going, peaceful... I felt like I’d just dropped back into the 1970s back home in Maine, I felt THAT comfortable. Everyone had such positive everygy and good vibes. Thank you to staff and customers. Peace..

Almost always busy and it takes forever for even a simple toasted bagel with cream cheese, but the bagels are just so darn good. These bagels have the perfect combo of chewy and crusty and are simply the best in the area. Leave a few minutes early and be ready to see everyone you went to high school with because this place is worth it.
