Great experience every time we dine here. The customer service is fantastic. Great family feel. We enjoy getting to dine in different rooms each time we eat here. The set menu is enjoyable because it is what we come for! The family-style dining creates a unique atmosphere that we come from out of town for. The food is delicious. On our most recent visit, the owner spoke with us at our table, very personable and down-to-earth.

Stopped here while driving across the state. They only serve a chicken dinner, (chicken, mash potatoes, creamed corn, biscuits, gravy plus a few other sides) and it was roughly $20 or just below per person. It was served family style. The food was pretty good but if you don't like everything served it might not be worth it. The actual building was interesting but it wasn't the original. Would probably not stop here again as I'm not the biggest fan of meat on the bone but it was a local experience and many people were dining there so it's just preference.

Terrible place to work. The manager is very rude an can't keep track of any thing.
VERY unprofessional business.

Worth the drive to visit this historic restaurant in Abilene, Kansas for a true family-style dinner experience. Set in the 1800's period recreation of the original Brookville Hotel, there is no need for menus here. Just answer the question, "How many?"
The staff is well-trained, skilled and provides friendly, quick service. Last, but never least, the best chicken I've ever had on the planet was served to me at the Brookville.

They have the best chicken, homemade biscuits, coleslaw, and mash potatoes!! I totally recommend it!! A must! The only problem is they are only open a certain time.
