Brose Electric Shop of Oakland

Have been buying my light fixtures there for years. Have always had great service and the quality of the fixtures are generally much better than you can get from the big box stores. Pricing has been very competitive. I'm headed there today to look for some new kitchen light fixtures.

The sales folks are very helpful and attentive. They have a large selection of light fixtures on the floor and thousands more available to order! Their prices are quite reasonable. As an example, a nice sized, four bulb, dining room hanging fixture went for about $300. Notice that the one star reviews are mainly folks who write bad reviews against several retailers. Some people are never happy.

I typically buy on line but thought i would support a local store , bought 2 Minka fans, one was in stock the other was ordered, it took a long time to get the ordered fan and the one they had in stock was an older model of which its been a problem, sometimes it works other times it doesn't, when i contacted them, they wanted nothing to do with us and told us to contact the manufacturer, back to buying on line.

Very poor customer service, ordered 2 light fixtures, was told delivery in a week. Went to pick up and lights were not in. Had to reschedule installation. Was told no later than Thursday. Called to pick up the Saturday after, was told not in yet, reschedule installation, "not our problum". Canceled order and was going to buy somewhere else was told "no refund. When I asked why "No one customer is that important to us". I'd rather shop local, but not here. Order from Wayfair and avoid this store!! Better prices, better service! Too bad another local store will soon close!
