Found out about this place Mon March 2nd, by Tuesday March 3rd my boss went an got lunch from there. It was great, I had the Catfish PoBoy an BOY was it DELICIOUS! So I said I'm going back to sit down an eat, that was Wed March 4th and I'm glad that I did. I had the Shrimp n Grits which was great it had a kick to it from the sausage sauce they put on top. The gator Bites we're good an so was my drink, the only reason it for 4 stars is because I wasn't prepared for the bill. It was over $100, didn't expect that but if you want something good or of great quality you have to pay high price and it was well worth it. I will most definitely be going back.
Very nice atmosphere, nice pours, good food, and the staff is always pleasant. Not to mention the views from the bar include every major landmark that makes downtown Detroit what it is.
I knew the singer I had a great time being around my close friends and the food was excellent.
Loved catering to this Black owned eatery!! Loved the shrimp gumbo. All the right seasoning, hot and so so good!!. My husband thoroughly loved the jambalaya as well. The staff was friendly. They have an awesome outdoor dining as well. If it wasn't raining that day, we certainly would have enjoyed it. Please check them out.
Takeout only during the pandemic, but amazing food so well worth it! They have the to-go order thing down with safety in mind with contactless pickup! Our food was in tin foil lined to-go containers that were then saran wrapped in a bag in another bag. That food was ready for the long haul and still amazing fresh and hot when we opened it up to eat. The fries were great and the breading on the walleye wonderful.
This new place I found is great I had Shrimp an Grits, Gator Bites an the Hurricane Cocktail an they were all good. Service was nice an I even met an talked with the owner, nice atmosphere. A great place to have meetings or lunch for dates right across from Ford Field. It's minus the 5th star because it was very high price didn't know my bill for 2 would be over $100 plus tip but hey I'm just being honest and I can Honestly say that I will be going back either for lunch at work or out on the town.
Desert is delicious service is immaculate and parking is free for dine in customers!!!! don’t get me started on the food I started with gator bites and gumbo I took my time and ordered the lamb chops and finished with bread pudding for under $50 bucks I spent around $90 bucks with drinks and the tip %20 I’d tip more if I had more cash... but it’s a great experience and food you can eat daily!!!
Had a delicious lunch here at a very reasonable price. Catfish done perfectly. Great fries and mac and cheese. Owner and staff very friendly. This would be a great place to come before or after a game, as it's right across the street from Ford Field and Comerica Park.
Excellent Food/ Professional Staff Met all our celebratory CMU GRADUATE Proud parent expectation!! Tks Ms. Mona & staff
The price of the food and the portions doesn't match. The food tasted great but was toooooo expensive for the portions. Very disappointed spending $26 for a 6in shrimp po'boy with 5 shrimp on it & some gumbo that the ahrimp still had the tail on them. Will not return...
