Buckley School Of Irish Dance

I attended the Buckley School of Irish Dance for 14 years and so did both my sisters. I loved coming to class every week and this was one of the most central experiences to my childhood and 15 years later I still know all the moves!!! This is a loving low pressure environment to learn dance and also camaraderie and just have so much fun.

I can’t boost the Buckley School of Irish Dance enough – for high-energy girls or boys who like challenging themselves! For eight years, my two daughters have looked forward to this weekly class like no other activity they’ve tried. Though it’s informal no wigs, attendance-taking, competitions, etc., the sense of camaraderie, accomplishment, and community it instills is incomparable. The kids develop pride and endurance as they prepare for parades, recitals, and performances such as the Great Irish Fair of New York at the Ford Amphitheater in Coney Island. Most of what my daughters know about persistence, practice, and progress, they have learned through their feet, coached by Bernadette Buckley Kash -- and not through their own mother’s lecturing!
