Used to shop here all the time over the course of the last 9 years, but my last couple of visits have left me with a sour taste in my mouth. Lots of cheap and dirty clothes… it’s a gen z’s wet dream in there with poor quality “90’s” style clothing and overpriced well worn pieces. The French manager with the blue hair is extremely rude and goes out of their way to be assertive and ugly. I’ve had about three interactions with them and each time, I walk away put off. Good luck trying to sell your clothes to them, they’re extremely picky and very coyly will reject your offerings by saying that “it’s not what they’re looking for”. Better luck down at the new thrift store down magazine street.
Good selection of stuff! Really cool finds here. A little too pricey, but not terrible. I went at peak time so it was hard to navigate the store. Staff was nice though.
I was visiting New Orleans for the week with family. Took my brother here and we were followed the whole time. My brothers mask was a bit too big and kept falling below his nose. A worker notice it had slipped down and instead of asking my brother nicely he yelled “MAKE SURE YOU KEEP YOUR MASK UP” in a nasty tone and placed his hand in my brother face. I immediately put everything back I was about to purchase and we left. We received poor costumer service the moment we entered. Followed like I was a thief because I was black. I will never go back or recommend. Also prices too high for some items. I tried to give this place a chance despite the reviews but the reviews strongly reflect this poor establishment.
Went by to check it out on Thursday..... the woman behind the counter was so rude. Had her nose turned up and acted like she was better than anyone who walked through the door. I will never go back.
I have been a customer of this store for years now, both as a seller of my clothing to them and a buyer of their items. The staff is ALWAYS helpful and friendly, the store is always clean and well-organized, and the buyers have a great eye for a very eclectic and diverse stock, very fair pricing and great sales. What impressed me the most is I left New Orleans two years ago for a job in Georgia, got back a month ago, and as soon as I walked in, Denise, the manager, remembered me by name instantly even though I look completely different than I did then. The personal, neighborhood feel means a great deal, I don't just feel like an anonymous consumer there.
Great Great Great. The prices are from what I see, 17% higher, for 275% the worth of product from somewhere like Goodwilllzzzz mama. Pur
I was holding off on leaving a review because I have always loved Buffalo Exchange until I tried donating my clothes. So, I brought in two garbage bags full of name brand clothes that had been purchased in the past few years that I don’t wear anymore. Brands like champion, adidas, stuff from Zumiez, a variety of heels, shoes, etc. Even things with tags still on them. I had it packed with good stuff. The man at the counter was extremely rude right when I came up to him. As he was going threw the stuff he told me that it would take awhile and I could look around the store. I come back and see that he picked 2 things out of two full garbage bags. I don’t understand how they pick and choose what items to take because when I look through the store there is ALOT of stuff that is outdated, worn, and old. Anyway this experience left a sour taste in my mouth and I don’t shop here anymore.
Selling to them is always a disappointing awkward experience. But In trying to take advantage of the store credit being that it’s about double the cash value you get for selling I was so disappointed with the inventory. So many cheap shein, and other fast fashion pieces. They’re really missing the point of second hand/consignment shopping.
Clothes are decent, one or two of the staff are very short with customers and rather rude.
Love this shop! A good mix of vintage and new clothes. The shop is organized and easy to peruse. You can only go into the dressing room once, so look through the whole store before you try on. Staff is nice and helpful. There are a lot of cute things to look at, and everything is different.
