Love Alice and Amelia for gifts and personal items! This weekend I bought a JazzFest shirt for my husband and a white linen jacket and cute earrings for myself. I buy teachers gifts, stocking stuffers, birthday gifts and so much more in here. Highly recommend for unique local gifts.
My recent visit to NOLA was once again made special with shopping in Alice and Amelia. It’s my favorite place in the City to see what’s new, fashionable and clever for gift-choosing and purchase. When my friends in NC know I’m headed to my hometown, they ask me to stop by Jo’s personally curated—and really FUN—collection of all things cool about NOLA. Jo’s the best! Please visit her shop and she’ll welcome you warmly every time. I promise you’ll go home with unique treasures. Thanks, Jo. See you next time!
Great shop for local art and gifts. My wife bought a nice linen dress for a special event and she was very pleased with the quality of the garment. Their clothing is perfect for the extremely hot weather we’ve been experiencing and there is also a nice selection of mens shirts too.
Been to Alice and Amelia quite a few times. Amazing selection of gifts for others as well as myself. Perfectly curated to the New Orleans vibe and the prices are great especially for the quality of the items. Highly recommend if you are looking for the perfect gift!
This store was tight and not really much in there that caught my attention. As others have mentioned they are control freaks with their drink policy. I brought in my empty yeti water bottle that was in a purse pouch and they still made me leave my water bottle at the register. It's pretty nuts!
I love shopping here because the customer service is A+. The sales person helped me find gifts that were appropriate for each of my family members. Definitely add Alice and Amelia to your favorite stores list.
Just stopped in to pick up some gifts for my visiting family. Alice and Amelia is my local "go-to" for gifts, and they always have what I'm looking for. Store personnel are always most helpful and welcoming!
Lovely gift shop! We easily found gifts for my mother and 2yo son as well as a little something to help us remember our visit. Such a nice proprietor!
Had lunch next door and noticed shirt in window. Had a few minutes, so walked in. Woman behind counter yells at my wife to put her drink on the counter. Bottle soda with lid on. My wife is quietly asking me to put it on counter for her, and woman behind the counter yells out again about putting drink on counter, like we were children. We decide to leave and notice a handwritten “bottles of water for sale sign”. Not sure how that would work. Suggest a no food/drink sign on door if it’s that important. It was definitely not a welcoming experience.
I love this little shop. There's a large selection of great gift ideas. I also love much of the artwork they sell. They have my favorite Nola Girl items, also. I'm actually wearing one of their bamboo Nola girl t-shirts right now!
