Building Equity Management

We were very fortunate to rent an apartment from Building Equity Management. They helped us find a great apartment in Washington Heights that we love. Their team is very helpful and responsive, and they quickly resolved any issues that have arisen. If you are looking an apartment and find one listed through BEM, you should jump on it.

Ever since Building Equity Management has taken over my building, they've made several improvements. The smell of fresh paint in the lobby is just the most recent example. They've also fixed the front door entry and added security cameras in all of the halls which has stopped the package theft we experienced in previous years. Would definitely rent from them again!

I have lived in a Building Equity managed building ever since I moved to NYC 5 years ago and they have been amazing. Before moving, I’ve heard of all the horror stories of landlords charging rent upfront or ripping people off especially when the tenant is new to the country without an US credit history I am from Canada. Building Equity did not do that and was super fair and professional right from the beginning. Everyone from the super to the staff at BEM have been really responsive to any questions or maintenance issues I may have had. Michael Vinocur was an amazing landlord and send out regular communications when needed to make sure all his tenants are safe. The building itself is clean and quiet. It was the PERFECT first apartment and I am actually quite sad to be leaving the BEM family moving to a newer building down the street. I highly recommend any BEM buildings and would without a doubt live in one again if the opportunity presents itself.

I was living in Brooklyn. I really wanted to live in Manhattan. I contacted Michael after searching around for an apartment, the moment I spoke to him and his team I knew that I wanted to live in a building they were managing. I've been living in one of Michael Vinocur's apartment for almost 3 years. I'm so incredibly happy to be a tenant here. The building is very well taken care of. The management care about the tenants and are very thoughtful. Renting from Building Equity Management was one of the best things I've done. I would suggest you do the same.

This is the BEST managing company ever! Michael picks up the phone calls you back even if he doesn't' have an answer right away. Never leaves you hanging. He needs to teach all the other managing companies how to do business the right way! He makes doing deals in a comfortable open way!

THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING! I lived in the same building for 4 years and felt completely neglected until Building Equity Management took over. When they started managing my building, things changed immediately - repairs were made, phone calls were answered and I could even pay my rent online. Jared Minc was awesome to work with, he always answered my calls and messages, even on the weekends. They fixed my window that was broken since the day I moved in and even replaced the vanity in my bathroom that was leaking these issues were ignored by previous management for years. About 2 months ago my wife and I decided that we wanted to buy a place long before our lease expiration and BEM worked with us to break our lease early. They showed and rented the apartment while we were still living there and we even got our security deposit returned WITHIN 1 WEEK. I would HIGHLY recommend Building Equity Management to anyone looking at a new management company for their building.
