I recently visited Bullard Tavern in Portland and was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy fireplace and rustic decor. The service was top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. The drinks menu was also impressive, with a wide selection of craft beers, wines, and cocktails. The desserts were fantastic and are definitely worth trying. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Bullard Tavern and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a laid-back atmosphere.
I love great cooking and tasty food with a buttoned up decor and service to match, this place is 5 stars worth of that. Top 5 best Brunches in Portland, and I'm holding room because I've only found 2 worthy so far. We got the chicken breakfast tacos, smashburger, and loaded hashbrows, with all cooked perfectly and in full flavor! Service was very attentive and warm, and the interior design made me think I was in Chicago or NYC. Open kitchen design was super appreciated and it wasn't even noisy. Will absolutely return! Wheelchair accessibility: Everything was ground level, no steps or ledges into the restaurant or seating.
Jessica Our great bartender was amazing, patient, respectful and open minded for feedback Bars and her service were great. She is very responsive and understanding. Our drinks were amazing. Food was OK but not 5 star for sure. Enjoy drinks and snacks. #bar #portland #vibe
Terrific brunch, we ordered the smoked beef ribs, shrimp and grits and apple cake donuts. All were delicious, the ribs were super tender, smoky and paired perfectly with the rest of the plate. Loved the fried grits, crispy on the outside and cream interior. Service was on point and cocktails were great!
This place was superb. Was able to snag a bar seat on new years eve. Great evening/late night vibe. Perfect for a date. Drinks were perfect and food was delicious. We had the brussel sprouts, mushroom fajitas and a burger. This burger was phenomenal, cooked perfectly, and was thick and juicy as a restaraunt burger should be! Bartenders did a great job. Will definitely be back again.
Great meal and experience. Sat at the bar and ordered a few items off the menu. The beet and strawberry salad was next level good. Also tried to hush puppies and enjoyed those. Would come back for another meal. Vegetarian options: Lots of food options.
Started with a Bloody Mary and a cup of black coffee. Both were delicious but the coffee left a bit to be desired in a city that is known for an amazing cup of Joe. The breakfast sandwich and collard greens were both delicious and perfectly portioned for brunch. Either limited to no options for outdoor seating but we were able to get in and out without a hitch on a Sunday. I would definitely come back if visiting the city
Went to Bullard Tavern for Thanksgiving Dinner, here’s my takeaway: Carpaccio pictured - WOW. So flavorful. It won’t make you full, but Man, it is full of flavor. Thanksgiving meal pictured - Outstanding. Gives you all the classics in perfect proportion. Looks just as good as the picture. Bonnie McMurray - I’m an old fashion or manhattan kind of guy and this thing delivers flavor like the other two don’t. Simply Great. If you’re a bourbon drinker, give this one a try. You’ll leave satisfied and full. There’s only one thing that separated this from being a perfect meal. Everyone loves leftovers for thanksgiving, and we asked if we could get a few rolls for the road. I told them I’d be happy to buy them, if necessary. They told us they couldn’t do it because they made the perfect amount for the meals to go out. Other than that, an absolute perfect meal with an environment that’s just as good.
This place is a gem! If you’re next door at Good Coffee, this is right on the other side. They have a vegan sweet potato taco, that really is great. Many places don’t have a solid vegan option, but definitely a must visit if you’re in Portland! If you’re a fan of pickle backs- recommend getting the trio flight of mezcal, aquavit, and bourbon. You won’t be disappointed.
Hands down some of the best flavors in the PDX. I can 100 percent say that this was the best pork chop I’ve had in my entire life. I tried to just sample the desert with a few bites, ended up licking the plate!
