Ordered our bunk beds August 20th and was told we would receive our order the following week. Didn’t get our bunk beds delivered until 4 weeks later than we were told and this was with calling them multiple times over the course of several weeks they would tell me every time it should be arriving any day to their store. They also ordered the wrong trundle or at least that is what they said so now we are waiting for that and have been for about 3 weeks. We also received our bunk beds damaged and have been requesting a partial refund and despite emailing them pictures as requested as well as follow up emails, they have been radio silent. Terrible communication and business management. Would not recommend. UPDATE: received our trundle about 10 days after posting this review and also received a $100 credit for damaged bed versus returning the entire bed, which was offered however we didn’t want to wait several weeks for the arrival of another bunk bed. Still do not think they communicated things very well during the entire process, but upgrading from 1 star to 2 stars since our order was finally completed.
Worst experience! I ordered two bedroom sets the first week of June and was told they would be delivered within 3 to 4 weeks. Fast forward to September and still didn't have all of the pieces! I called almost weekly inquiring and was told I would get a call back and never did. I always had to call again and get the same response that the vendors haven't shipped. I finally decided to cancel one of the sets as I found a set elsewhere in stock for same day pick up. After all the waiting and run around, they still had the nerve to charge me a 20% restocking fee! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never purchase from this place again and will warn anyone against it as well.
Attentive staff and really quality beds. I feel a lot better having my son test out the bed in person rather than order something online. The warranty makes a difference
New location on Greenfield & Sunnyslope in New Berlin, but same TOP NOTCH service and product quality. We are 3-peat customers and are always incredibly pleased with our experience and purchase.
Fantastic local business with high quality product at an affordable price. The bunk bed i purchased is heavy duty and in many cases around the same price as online, but the ability to have the customer service and see the product in person was great. I had a slight problem with a screw hole on a guard rail and the owner honored the warranty no questions asked. The mattresses are affordable, comfortable, and the perfect height. I had several questions about the setup with underbed dressers sliding due to hardwood floors and he was able to help me through all of it.The only issue was a lengthy delivery time due to covid and supply chain issues but they were always willing to provide updates and time frame predictions. Definitely will be back, however this purchase seems destined to last a long time.
The website says they are moving and gives the new address. When you go to the address they are not open yet. Wouldn’t you put that in the website. And the receptionist is rude when talking to her she kept sighing at me. Sorry I was asking questions.
5/10/21 ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! the worst experience I have ever had at a furniture store. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere. I paid for my furniture in the start of March and STILL haven’t received ANYTHING. Just keeps giving the round about. Supposedly will be delivered sometime this Thursday 5/13 or Friday 5/14. Definitely will NOT be coming back nor will family or friends. I will be updating about the delivery and if on time. 5/11/21 aman called questioning my review of this establishment. The bizarre thing how did he even know it was me? You could have literally called the wrong person. Not to mention how nasty you got toward me on the phone on multiple occasions at that to unprofessional. Telling me I could make the establishment go out of business. That is not my problem you have awful customer service. Not to mention the multiple times I had to call about where order was. Or you would say you would call back on a said certain day and never call. Which is why I would have to call. Which leads me to believe many others are experiencing the same problem. Maybe you should take some customers service skills classes. Shame on you. I’ve never had an establishment call me and question my review. Ridiculous.
Excellent spot for your kids to pick out a bed. They are all set up for your kids to try out and the staff is knowledgeable, prices competitive and support is excellent. I had to order a replacement part for a bed I bought five years ago and they handled it quickly and I'm pretty sure they didn't even mark it up $20. Can't get that from Amazon and this is furniture which needs to be sturdy, so think twice about going online for something like this. They also have a clearance area if you're on a budget, definitely stop in if you're shopping for beds. Great experience shopping there, will definitely be going back again.
I recommended & came to this store to my sister & brother in law because I believe in supporting local businesses and because I have previously purchased a bed & stairs for my nieces son and the product a bunk bed with stairs that had draws in them & we paid for the installation & the service was good. We were in the store mid February & we purchased a bunk bed with stairs/storage & 2 mattresses as well as the installation. The delivery took a significant amount of time and I called them on a regular basis & each time I was told everything was delayed because of COVID & they were trying to reach the manufacturer but they were back logged. I had to contact them on a regular basis to get any updates not vice versa. Approx 3-4 months letter the bed finally arrived and the installation date was set up at which point they received wrong pieces as the bed was a full & twin bed and the steps had defects, Knicks, chips and the the finish on several steps looks odd/faded. We contacted the store and were told to take pics of damage and email them to the store so they could forward to the manufacturer which we did and again no response or resolution and I called on a regular basis for updates not vice versa. The correct parts for the frame were dropped off several weeks after we contacted them however it’s now Mid June and the steps have still not been replaced. We were told 4 weeks ago the new steps arrived and they were working on setting a date with the install company and again after 3-4 calls to the store the new steps still have not been replaced and no contact from the store. I did inform the store we were not going to pay for another install fee as we already paid for one and the damaged steps were between the store, the manufacturer & the install company to resolve not is not our responsibility to pay for. Still no follow up from store or any resolution. It is now June 10th and my last contact was approx 2 weeks ago or more to the store at which point I was told they were arranging delivery and once again no response. We have been dealing with this since January and this is by far the worst experience & customer service we have had encountered with a purchase/store and the lack of response and resolution is extremely disappointing since I have spoken highly of this store to others and have referred others after my first purchase. The general attitude of the sales & other staff from point of purchase has been as if it’s been an inconvenience to deal with us. We would never recommend this store to anyone.!
My wife and I just purchased a twin over full staircase bunk bed from Gary. We went in the store twice as a family that's 2 adults and 4 kids under 4 and although my wife was a little stressed out that my kids wanted to try every bed, the staff were super relaxed about it. I have read a few reviews that state the staff was "unfriendly" or "rude." To me it felt like a family owned business, no one was rude, but you just have to ask if you have a question. Personally, I prefer this - it give you the freedom to look at your leisure without feeling pressured. BUT, when we had questions and I ask a lot of questions everyone was super attentive. We took some pics with our cell phones, left and decided later what we wanted - all I had to do was pick up the phone and call to place my order. I can't speak to the negative reviews where individuals stated they waited more than the standard 10-14 days for their items, but I can tell you that when we received our order 14 days after the order and I opened up the boxes to put it together, I could see and smell that the items were recently stained per our order. So it's possible some of the delays were not on Bunks & Beds end, but on the manufacturing end. I did have to call a couple of times to check on the status of the order, partly due to my own personality. I would say that if you: 1 Go in expecting it to be a low-sales-pitch environment where someone is not trailing you through the store, but know you can ask questions at any time and get a pleasant response. and 2 Anticipate waiting for your merchandise if you order something that has to be made and being ok with proactively calling them for updates You can expect to have a very pleasant experience. The quality of the furniture we purchased was extremely good and less than we would have spent online even on Amazon. And I do believe they price match if you do find something online. They have an excellent display of bunk and regular beds for kids - more than anywhere else I have seen - it really helps to see how the kids can get up there and how high the sides on the top bunk are. Sorry for the long review - Give them a shot, just set your expectations up front that it will not be "pushy" sales and you may have to be proactive on the back end to see how your order is coming along when you do call, they treat you well.
