This small burger joint is hidden on a small set of stairs on MacDougal street. You need a sharp eye as I missed it walking past. There is only indoor dining, and just three tables to sit at. I got the classic burger, one of a few meat options, and enjoyed. It wasn't the best burger ever, but they have a sauce which has a lot of flavor.
Seen the whole hype with the owner opening this place on YouTube finally went there after 3 years and and had the chance to try it. Walking it’s filled with so many burger smells and cooked French fries it was odd. I was with my friends so we tried to sit but of course like every store in manhattan it’s the size of a small bathroom barely and space to move yet alone people packed onto the tables and chairs in there. Personal opinion they should just add outdoor sitting so people can sit and eat comfortably sadly no space for me and my friends so we went to the local park. I got the regular burger with pepper jack cheese and truffle fries with a water bottle it tasted like a normal burger and the truffle fries is literally fries topped with a lot of Parmesan cheese and seasonings they put toooo much seasoning it didn’t even stick on the fries. Overall the food is alright i dont see all the hype about it
Great food! Tried chicken nuggets and the classic burger. Both were pretty good. Also tried truffle fries and it was pretty good too.
I always have burger in this place every Friday. Yes, they have limited area in there but since Washington Square Park is very close, I always have my burgers as to go. My favorite menu is double pads with cheddar cheese and truffle fries, lemon lime soda. Dont forget to ask for chipotle sauce. By the way, it is the classic burger including extra patty in my photo, not the regular classic burger Update: After covid I visited this place twice. It is not my fav burger place anymore. Their patty tastes like something else.
We got the classic burger, the spicy chicken burger, and the truffle fries. Honestly, for the price I was expecting a mind blowing burger. It was good but not as amazing as I had hoped. The size also left something to be desired and I was charged extra for a slice of cheddar cheese lmao. The humid weather and lack of air conditioning inside the restaurant dampened the experience somewhat as well. At least the fries were tasty! If you’re in the area, prefer halal meat, and the weather is nice, I’d recommend this place.
I took the order to go. The lamb burger flavor was amazing. The flavor so reach and juicy. The flavor of the truffle fries was too much. But at all, am going back again. Worth be a usual.
Great burgers for a good price in Brooklyn. It’s open even in COVID and there is a small space outside to sit and eat. The burgers really never disappoint and the tenders are a must-try. The only reason why it’s not a full 5 stars is the staff could be nicer. We ordered, were told to wait for our food, and never called upon when our food was prepared. Other than that, really good Halal burgers in New York.
The best burger you will ever eat in NYC. The place is a bit tiny to fit many people but the staff is very quick. They hire NYU college students. Staff are really super friendly and great. it’s really the best as the meat is Halal/Kosher, animals are happy ones, organic and animals were slaughtered by hand and not killed by electricity or shot in the head like other places; that means it’s a very healthy meat. And even the ketchup is made with no preservatives plus a healthy ginger or lime soda
It's tiny, but the moment you enter you already know you're in a place that seems too familiar. Folks behind the counter have the best of smiles. Customers who walked in almost always went in to hug the people there. [Speak about committed regular customer base!] Also, place is flooded with students from New York University. I wasn't sure on what to eat and the warm smiling guy helped me through. Finally opted for The Classic Burger, a beef patty with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, pickles and lemon aioli. I also went for their blueberry soda. Prices are quite decent. I enjoyed my quick meal. Also, it's completely organic and halal. What more do I add?
We had The Classic with cheese and caramalised onions. The burger patty was juicy and i was surprised that the caramalised onions actually complimented the whole ensemble. The truffle fries were a bit too salty to my liking...but...they were good as well. When we arrived at about 2:45pm, the place was packed with no seating available. By 3pm there were already ample seating available. Will definitely go there again for my burger fix the next time i visit New York. Oh, and did i tell you they are Halal? Yaaaaasssssss!
