Cabela's Barrie

Nice clean store. Lots of products. Always something on sale at a really good price....last few deals I got were running shoes, pocket knife, rain jacket. So if you have some time to kill...fun to walk through and you might find a great deal. Some of the staff can be a bit product snobby.....if you aren't already an expert and ask a novice question....you might get some attitude.

Shopping is a pleasure here! Great store, excellent staff, awesome website and spectacular sales, what more could you need. Their selection is vast. Although I almost gave 4 stars because common sized popular clothing items are sometimes not in stock. The customer service is also pretty good. Overall, it just seems like a well managed operation (at all levels) where people are happy to work.

Quite a bit smaller than its U.S stores. Nice to be able to visit a retail outlet locally. Well stocked clothing for average sized customers. If you’re big or tall it lacks these hard to find sizes. Since Cabela’s expansion and venture into trading on the stock market selection has suffered significantly.

Always love coming here even if it is just to browse. I was looking for something specific and I did not see it. The online stock check indicated that they had limited stock. I stead of wasting my time I decided to call. After I spoke to an associate they transferred me to Victoria. She was able to help find what I was looking for. Thank you Victoria for making a difference in my shopping experience.

Love this store. Every time we go to Barrie we make a point of stopping in to Cabelas. I have ordered many items online that I've picked up at the store. They arrive at the store quickly and the staff contact you when it arrives. The staff are always friendly, and efficient with the exception of the gun counter staff. Some of the older guys will stand around talking to customers about nothing for 20 minutes before acknowledging other customers. This tends to be true in other areas as well, like the fishing or boating department but just be patient and they'll get to you. Prices are competitive, and they usually have whatever you're looking for. The fudge is fantastic as well!
