Had the kung pao tofu with fried rice and an egg role. This dish was really good. Loves the flavor and the sauce. Also got the Thai tea with aloe gel. This was good too. But my friends who got noodles said that it was really bad. I had a taste and I agree. They were dry and bland.
First of all, I you want a decent tapioca/ boba drink, go to Tealicious down the street! I don’t know how this place has 3.5 stars. I came here during happy hour because I wanted some boba & sushi and I was sooo disappointed. Upon ordering they told me that they didn’t have tapioca, and that was the first let down. I still ended up ordering a strawberry & banana smoothie with aloe vera, and a taro smoothie with rainbow jelly. I also ordered a Philadelphia roll and a spicy salmon roll because it was 2 rolls for $10 during happy hour. The strawberry & banana smoothie just tasted like ice- it needed more fruit. My friend got taro smoothie with rainbow jelly and it had decent flavor tasted like vanilla but was super sweet. Ended up mixing a bit of the strawberry banana with the taro to level the drinks off. As for the sushi, the employee ended up telling me that they had no avocado after I had ordered. They substituted cucumber instead. Both rolls were TINY so wouldn’t recommend the happy hour sushi. I’m not sure about their premium sushis, but I still would not recommend this place. Altogether this place was expensive, overrated, and not worth it. Like I said, if you want boba drinks, go to Tealicious down the street.
Convenient location next to campus. Food is low quality and not very good. Bubble tea is a hit or miss. Tried the satay pork noodles, it was disgusting. Recommend you try something else. The noodles tasted like overcooked spaghetti, oily, but with no flavor.
Lots of selection and choices. Pretty good for a campus restaurant. Pleasant atmosphere
So it has recently changed to Azza Cafe and they no longer serve alcohol, specifically sake. I can understand their change, yet they still advertise the sake but they do not sell it. It is literally written on a chalkboard that can be erased, but they have yet to do so. Until they can accurately represent their products this review will remain a one star.
I prefer 101 to chinese star next to it as foods are less greasy and healthier. The service and food is absolutely good.
It used to be very good but you can tell they are cutting back on their quality. Boba isn't good, sushi is expensive, and they put hardly any beef on their kimchi fries.
It’s a good place to hang out, good tea, good sushi, good food, they got sake too
Just as tasty as the Cafe 101 on Bellaire! The service is always friendly and cool and the location is convenient for when I’m at campus!
Always good for a quick bite. Sushi is cheap but surprisingly good for the money. The rest of the food is good too. Plus, they generally will deliver to the library if they are not too busy. Great alternative to eating trash fast-food
