5 stars for the service and Manti. 2 stars for the Lagman. The lunch special listed on the menu is no longer offered. All servers were efficient and extremely nice to senior customers...holding the doors for them/no rushing them out even when the place was packed. The Manti was very flavorful, full of soup, perfectly spiced lamb and onions, and the dumpling wrapper had the perfect amount of thickness. Unfortunately the Lagman was served lukewarm, tasted somewhat watered down, with noodles broken in tiny pieces. For a significantly better Lagman, get it at Kashkar Cafe which is a few blocks away.
close to B & Q train at Brighton Beach, casual cafe with indoor/outdoor dining, atttentive staff, Family-friendly, ample servings of eastern European and Asian dishes worth the try.Crispy fried flounder.
One of the finest dish in competition to Chama mama I have tried, the food is good and very reasonable
The food looks better than it tastes. We didn't like it!
I just can’t comprehend how good the food is here. Been here a few times now. Never disappoints!! Fish kebob was the best thing I ever ate honesty! This place is such a great authentic hub to try Russian food. Excellent, delicious, and made with love. Such a great experience with loving hospitality. Amazing!
Fresh and delicious food! manti are amazing! if you do not receive an order for a long time, be patient, they do not have time because there are a lot of people, or most likely your food is very fresh, they will not warm up but cook. the restaurant is open until 10 pm.
Excellent local option for a generous variety of Russian and Georgian dishes. Everything was delicious and there were enough leftovers for lunch the next day! Staff is very friendly and quick to help.
A cheap comforting cafe with more than satisfactory portions. The only reason I am removing one star is because we had to sit outside in blistering heat with cars passing by - with no umbrellas shielding from the sun. There is a shaded 3 table area under a tarp, where is the rest of the tables are not shaded. Otherwise, the food was tasty, the portions were large despite the cheapest prices I have seen in some time. The lunch price of $11 consists of a soup and a small hot dish, which is pretty much the same price of a fast-food processed meal. Also, there is no service charge of 18% as it is in other places nowadays.
I came here after my friends recommended and told me how much they love it, so naturally I had to go see for myself. It's a tiny hole in the wall. Maybe 10 tables? Nothing spectacular to look at as far as decor, etc. However, the food and the service were top notch!!!!! The waitress was so nice and friendly. It was like my grandma was serving me or something. Everything was super fresh. The prices were cheap. It's just a win win. If I lived close by, I would be getting food there on a daily. I'm impressed.
Great place!!! Highly recommend for everyone who wants to try russian cuisine at a low price. I’ve been here twice and everything we ordered had just perfect taste. There is small room inside so during busy hours could be hard to find a table and you have to wait. Menu is everything on one page which is very convenient to choose from and on both languages which make our parents able to serve themselves without our assistance. My only suggestion is to add kvas into menu ;
