Great experience always! I love this cafe and all pastries and food they serve. I always order cakes here for all occasions so I had no doubts with ordering a wedding cake and pastries for my son’s wedding. But the result exceeded all my expectations! The cake was outstanding and all guests absolutely loved it! Anne made small pastries to serve for the cocktail hour and they saved the day! Thank you to Anne and all her amazing and friendly staff who always welcome you and make you feeling at home.
Nice cafe that has plenty of space inside and also offers patio seating. The coffee is great here and there’s a wide selection of amazing pastries. I also enjoy the salad as well. This is the perfect place for either a quick treat or a lunch option.Food: 5/5
Cute spot for breakfast pastries, Downtown JC is full of cute corner restaurants / bakeries, and Cafe Madelaine is a perfect example. It's a great spot for breakfast pastries, with plenty of room for indoor and outdoor seating. Ironically, we came here right after spending a week in the South of France, and I have to say, Madelaine can hold its own. We shared the Leek and Parmesan Cheese Danish, the Raspberry Croissant and the Chocolate Jumelle. The first two were great quality, but the Jumelle was too thick and doughy for my liking. Will be back to sample their amazing selection of quiches.
Our favorite cafe in Jersey city , They did beautiful renovation last year! This is a wonderful place to sit and have a piece of tasty French pastry and delicious coffee Also, they have great bake goods to take with French orientation.
Had to edit my review. I'm sure it was just a slip upI hope but you should not be allowed to sell what seems like week old pastries. As you can see in the photo, this croissant was extremely dry, compressed, and the almond paste tasted extremely stale. It's obvious what you sold on July 6th was extremely old croissants/pastries as I know your pastries to be usually flavorful and rich. But this was so bad it ruined my breakfast. I only made it half way before throwing it out.
Excellent food and ambiance. A bright French cafe in the heart of downtown Jersey City. Great spot for a casual and relaxing brunch. Also excellent pastries Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs

Lovely French cafe, lovely helpful staff, and the biggest selection of quiches and tarts I’ve seen in Jersey City yet! Good prices, great seating, sunny, spacious, ample outlets, great drink options as well and of course some beyond buttery and delicious croissants and pastries I had a whole dine in lunch for under $20. I enjoyed their hit or miss salmon goat cheese quiche w/ optional combo of side that had their own yummy Dijon dressing plus a perfect temperature whole milk cappuccino. Spent another $15 on 5 pastries to go. So a whole savory, sweet and caffeinated enriching experience for under $40 with tip. *Always tip y’all! They work hard and we’re so helpful with all my questions. #StayHungryFilledINSPIRED easily @CafeMadelaine
Very disappointed given the ratings and lines. I've given cafe Madeleine several tries as they are my neighborhood bakery. The cheese Danish was horribly undercoated and the pear almond tart was greasy and had an odd taste to it. I suspect they are baking their sweets and savory items at the same time. Would not recommend.Food: 1/5
We came in on Sunday ~1150am, apparently just after their weekend morning rush and dined in. Service was friendly and helpful thanks Millie!. Salmon brioche was fantastic! 100% would order again. Eggs were cooked nicely. I'm eyeing the quiche for my next visit! I appreciated the chocolate mousse, the right consistency though my preference is a slightly darker chocolate. Very happy to see more small businesses like this in JC area!
