Prato Bakery

First I should say that Italian isn’t usually my first choice of cuisine, but my wife loves it. But Prato was really impressive! I tried a deceptively small sandwich and a slice of pizza: the sandwich bread was way more filling than expected for me which I suppose is good for most people but not if you have trouble building muscle like me. While we ate, their staff also gave us pieces of one of their chocolate breads can’t recall the name!! to try. The staff and bread are both very nice. Note that they are open for indoor dining as of this review - you guys know, we can never be too sure these days so when in a doubt give them a call.

A jewel of a bakery. Had the Bronte. It's savory sandwich. The flavor profiles are all hitting high. What a fantastically delicious sandwich. The vibe is nice.

This morning we stopped at Prato bakery on a whim, excited to experience a taste of Tuscany in Jersey City. We ordered two iced lattes, two biscotti, and a croissant with jam. Solid croissant, great coffee, but the biscotti lacked sufficient crunch and left a little to be desired. Nice street side seating too. We will have to come back to try their lunch sandwiches.

Ordered a focaccia sandwich - La Boscaiola stracchino, prosciutto, mushrooms, and arugula - and a Cioccolatte nutella + latte. The sandwich was delicious and a lot more filling than I expected it to be. The saltiness of the prosciutto was balanced out with the focaccia and the more mellow stracchino. Latte was strong but had the perfect touch of sweetness. Other notes: Lots of seating inside. The space is really cute. I’d come back to do some work for school. Vegetarian options available. They also sell focaccia slices with toppings like zucchini and potatoes/rosemary. There’s also biscotti by the pound, as well as a small selection of food products from - I assume - Italy.

Ordered delivery through Ubereats. The service was speedy and the food was exactly what I was craving. The cold cut option was stellar so I ordered half a pound of prosciutto di Parma and half a pound of Finocchiona Salame. All i can say is WOW! Stellar quality. I also ordered the La Cremosa Sandwich with spicy sauce. They gave me a huge portion and it was so delicious. Only sad part was their was no Stracchino soft and creamy cheese but it was still scrumptious. I ordered from the Bay Street location as well and pretty consistent! Although i did get the correct cheese at Bay Street. Thanks You!

Good people, amazing food and chill vibes. Croissant must have, Focaccina with Nutella is a must try! Plenty of hot/cold drink options too.

I called them at 7:20 pm yesterday to see if I can come by quickly for focaccia bread since they are nearing closing time . The guy said to come by, I tried going there as fast as I could and was there by 7:33 PM , the guy told me they are closed and i told him that he himself told me to come and I live like a mile away and it takes a bit of time due to traffic. I requested him very nicely but he was being so rude about it and he even told me that he had customers come at 7:30 as well and I took too long to come 3 minutes, that's it, he kept me outside in cold for like 10 minutes , I even requested that my wife likes their bread and i would leave a tip as well for being generous but he was still being very adamant and rude . I understand they've been working hard from morning and they want to go home once they close but you can't treat your customers like that , I was outside waiting in the cold and requesting and he just didn't care which is not good. I never had such experience with any other bakeries around this area.

Interesting this is called a bakery, it is a little more like a cafe or coffee shop. Excellent espresso drinks and tons of pastries and sandwiches. It is a great neighborhood spot to relax in.

Random spot picked while we were driving by. Very happy we did, the sandwiches were extremely fresh and satisfying. The Nutella donuts! OH MAN so good. UPDATE The spice porchetta sandwich is excellent. Very fresh and flavorful. 2nd time back and it's worth it.

Excellent service! Everything they serve tastes as it looks: delicious!!! Staff guy el chamo was very friendly and welcoming. I don't live nearby, I was just passing by, definitely I'll come back... 100% recomended!
