Once upon a time, the most trusted in came in an orange ground coffee can . Nowadays, there are those who seek out the truth of where and how fresh these beans truly are. That is why we put our full faith into this particular cafe. From the farms of where the beans are grown to the person who sources them ‍ all the way to its location in NYC you'll feel the true meaning of Vietnamese homegrown. And to find that it has an why would we go anywhere else?
Only here for the summer as a pop up before they shift locations elsewhere - so go soon! Cold brew ube and the Vietnamese iced coffee is the perfect summer heat antidote! Cute space, super nice staff, and quality drinks. No AC and limited seating, so it’s more of a grab and go option.
Interesting Vietnamese coffees, lovely unique space – open to outside in summer! Vietnamese beans, including very herbal Robusta intense by itself, but perfectly matched with condensed milk, tasty lattes the “ube” is delicious, and fancy weasel/elephant coffee! Perfect stop if in neighborhood, worth a trip if you’re not.
Awesome coffee! One of the few places I'm not sure where else actually that you can get the robusta species of coffee! Definitely a treat. They go beyond that however and even have weasel and elephant coffee!!?! First time for me trying elephant and damn is it good. Won't say more here, I'll just say don't Google if you're faint of heart. Service is a bit slow but it appears to be early days for the pop-up so maybe they're still finding their groove. Already planning a trip back though!
Real talk, no shilling here. While the beans are from Vietnam, there is nothing reminiscent of the ca phe sua da I've had throughout Vietnam. I tried both blends, both were weak and watery. We felt like total suckers waiting over 20 minutes.
The cold brew ube is a boon on a hot Friday afternoon. Looking forward to other varieties later this summer. Be prepared for credit, since they don't take cash.
So many unique preparations, not too expensive, so friendly, increasing robusta bean slinging; {__}_/
