We had a fantastic meal and exceptional service on our late lunch visit on Saturday. All the food was delicious, and you MUST save room for dessert. The blackberry cobbler was probably some of the best I've ever had, and I'd happily drive many miles for it again! The shrimp and grits were excellent, and their take on meatloaf was solid but maybe a little heavy on the breading in the mix. The crab cakes were tasty too. Overall, we had a great time, great meal, and are looking forward to our next visit. Again, save room and GET THE COBBLER!
Cool, Cozy, and Charming Little Place - After driving by this place many times over the years, I finally made my way in for lunch and I’m glad I did. The food is excellent! I’d return just for the shrimp and grits, which, unlike many recipes I’ve tried, was not too heavy on the sauce, and the grits were not cheesy. I loved it! The sweet potato fries were not the best – they were a little dry, but everything else we had was great. To top it off, the service was great! I will surely be back again and again.
My All time favorite place to Dine! A cozy New Orleans vibe. Great for special occasions, An Array of menu choices will satisfy the picky eaters too. Our waitress, Debbie has the best personality and will make you feel right at home! The food is definitely cooked with love!
Love the food. Should have gotten a picture of the gumbo starter I had, deviled eggs and the banana bread pudding was to die for. I went by this place for years thinking it was a hotdog place and never looked at it twice. Wish I had been told it was a Creole dining establishment before now. Will be going back to try some of the other things in the menu soon enough.
Nice little restaurant. Service was great. Food was delicious. Ordered a jambalaya pasta dish. Can't remember the name exactly but it was very good. Also had the battered mushrooms. Probably the best battered mushrooms that I've tried. I definitely recommend this place.
I loved this experience. The atmosphere was fun and Mardi Gras themed. The waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and the food was flavorful! I had the BBQ Shrimp with authentic red beans and rice, and of course fried okra. We also had the chocolate pecan pie and blackberry tart, which were both superb. Definitely a great change of pace!
Came across this while I was in the area looking for something new to try. I am very glad this popped up as I was searching. I love Cajun food, and this place was not a letdown. Crab cakes & remoulade were awesome , and Oyster's were fried light, and were delicious with a soft crunch. Jambalaya was amazing !!! Definitely will keep this place in heavy rotation.
Ordered take out - Blackened Salmon with Mac n cheese, jambalaya rice and side of cabbage. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. So many great options to choose from on the menu. Catching up on reviews. I used Uber Eats for lunch on Thursday, 07-21-22. I ordered jalapeño deviled eggs, sautéed veggies, and the crab cake combo platter with fried okra and mac n cheese. The food wasn't terrible, but I was underwhelmed. I was expecting cajun food and was left disappointed. I cook & when paying for certain cuisines, I expect it to at least be as good as what I'd prepare myself. The okra wasn't seasoned. The mac n cheese was extremely bland. The eggs & crab cake were ok. The best thing in the order was the sautéed veggies. Have passed the restaurant several times when I've been in the shopping area. Probably wouldn't patronize again.
