When we travel we love to visit local shops to collect souvenirs. Fonz had been eyeing Cal Surf in his research before our trip and we were so glad to find time to make it. The staff was friendly and informative about the local art and skate scene. We loved their Minneapolis tribute clothing. Couldn't leave without one and ended up with the Twin Cities shirt in a Thrasher font. Before we left we got to meet the owner who showed us their gallery space with a few pieces left from their last exhibit. It was so nice that we were bummed we missed the exhibit. Loved our visit and will definitely return if we make it back to MPLS.

The guys at Cal Surf have always been super helpful and considerate, and the selection of boards, clothes, shoes and accessories have always been on point.

I love coming here, easily my favorite and the best skate shop in the twin cities. They have great selection in all skateboard goods and apparel. All the staff are super knowledgeable in the products. Overall , I would recommend coming here for your next skateboard.

Love you, Cal Surf! Great stock, reasonable pricing, Ethan was so nice and informative. He treated my 11 year old, not like a little kid, but like a fellow skater, exchanging skater lingo and banter that I was clueless about. My son is so thrilled with his new deck and he gave him some old decks that had been left there, which we made into shelves in his room! He’s so grateful. Life has been tough for so many people lately and encounters like these go a long way.

I brought 3 of my kids here for new skateboards on a Sunday afternoon. Two of my kids knew what they needed and my daughter needed a bit more help. The two guys working were kind and patient and really helpful to both experienced skaters and my daughter who is just getting started and figuring out what she wants. We'll be back again, great shop!

Cool shop. The guys were very helpful with helping me get my first board setup.
