Do not sit outside at the table in the corner closest to the street near the traffic lights. You will need rock climbing kit to connect yourself to the wall so you don’t fall off the edge. We got given said sideways table and check out the drink in the photo. That’s sitting on the table!!! We tried to get the waitress to move us but the disinterest was incredible. The service was meh but the food is actually really good. Eating said good food wasn’t hard, it just slid off the end of the table and straight into our mouths…..jokes aside, this is the worst table in NYC and ruined the whole meal.
Great Margaritas and solid Mexican food in this UES restaurant. Chips are fresh and homemade and come with red & green sauce. Ordered beef and chicken Fajitas, they came to the table steaming and full of flavor. Good service and the whole place has a really fun vibe.
Visited this place after seeing the positive reviews. We ordered Jalapeño Poppers, Black Bean Quesadilla, Tostada Salad and everything tasted good. Portion sizes were decent. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the city. Will definitely visit this place again.
Me & my wife’s go to Mexican restaurant in UES. We’ve tried most of the main menus and it’s hella delicious and not pricey. Besides food, overall service was great but the employee who served us asked for more tips even we did good amount of tip 18% - 20
Fun vibe, taco meats/fish fillings were just ok but the toppings were yummy and good! Don't recommend the mint lemonade though, tastes like powder or brisk with some mint tossed in
Very loud indoors so it’s not a place to go if you want to have a conversation. Esquites were delicious. Jalapeño poppers were ok. Had the black bean taco and pollo asado. Definitely make them nacho style!
The food was tasty, the service was good and quick. We ordered nachos, chile cilantro fries and jalapeno poppers. We loved the fries. If you plan to dine inside the restaurant then please make sure you have vaccination proof and ID card. I would say appropriate COVID safety measures are considered.
Food was decent but delivery portions are laughable. This is what came in for an order of fries and an order of rice and beans. The burrito bowls also had very little food. Thank God we ordered so much or we would’ve been starving. Disappointed.
This has to be the worst calexico experience I’ve ever had. First time going to this location. I ordered the Cali burrito bowl and what a mess. It looked like they just threw in everything and didn’t care. It’s took 20mins to get a bowl. Service was slow and terrible. Granted they were busy but that’s not an excuse cause for the slop I was given. I paid 16$ for some broken fries, beans, little dry pieces of beef with no seasoning. I’m so upset and disappointed. Definitely not worth the money.
Shrimp bowl was amazing. Very filling and worth the price. Service was great. Chips were fresh.
