Californos Westport

So excited about doing this review but so disappointed... I went in for dinner on a Monday night there was nobody there except for the people that were doing a wedding reception on the lower level... our waiter and service was mediocre at best... I was like when is he going to come over and take our drink order he had given as water but I would like a drink hello... I had to actually wave him over to get him from stop chatting with the bartender to come over to take our drink orders... I ordered their specialty Manhattan which was very good I liked that but the food was horrible... I ordered the salmon BLT it was more bread than anything and the bacon where is the bacon it was disgusting and the french fries were so horrible McDonald's french fries would been better than that... my friend had a couple of bites of his chicken sandwich and left the rest... the Caesar salad was so so... for dessert I ordered that custard thing... it was the only redeeming quality about the entire meal and the cocktail... I don't know how they stay in business because it sure isn't in there dinner I know they have a lunch and brunch maybe that's where they make their money I don't know but perhaps they make their money with all their wedding receptions... romantic atmosphere my ass... my mom told me she went there 15 years ago and was not impressed... I wish I would have gone someplace else for a hundred bucks it sucked....😭My mother read that the health department had closed them down for a few days... Doesn't surprise me in the least...

They catered our daughters wedding off site. Staff were wonderful. Food was great! Aaron was wonderful to work with. Thank you for making the day special! Ree and Steve

Californos was a great venue for us to have our wedding ceremony and reception. The food and drinks and service the day of couldn't have been better. Mig was great the day of to make sure everything was going as smoothly as possible from setting up, to helping direct the processional, to the flip and to the closing. We were overall very pleased with how Californos accommodated our wedding day to make it very special!

We used Californos to cater at our wedding venue and it was perfect. Aaron was wonderful to work with through this whole process. SO nice and accommodating of tiny details and things we wanted. I'm so glad we chose Californos. Everyone we've spoken to said the food was delicious, and I can personally confirm that it was. They went above and beyond with everything, especially when it came to organizing and setting up all the mini donuts we used. Aaron willingly took over that role and even brought coffee to go along with the donuts. All of the staff was lovely and courteous as well, I saw them working hard to make everything wonderful and I really appreciate that. The food and the people were wonderful.

It was an okay place to reserve for a banquet. Food was mediocre.
