I’m posting two years after my aunt’s death.
They provide sleep cots for visitor. Visitors can shower there as well.
The nurses were attentive.
There was a kind religious woman there after my aunt passed away.
Well worth the traveling from Queens.

My younger brother, four years my junior, passed away in May, 2005 .... at his deathbed (At Calvary Hospital) were his two children, his mother and at least one more of my two remaining brothers. When I visited him two months prior, he was mostly lucid though well sedated, as pancreatic cancer had invaded his liver and two places in his spine in Nov. of 2004, when he fell and never again walked. At that time, Calvary had experience for 106 years in care management for terminally ill patients. I do not know how Calvary has progressed since then (10 years) but I would like to thank their staff for seeing to his comfort and assisting him to a relatively pain-free and honorable passage by giving them the review they deserve. His terminal care counselor met with us and answered any questions I had at the time. A spare bed was provided for me as I chose to stay overnight with him, having flown 1000 miles to spend some quality time with him during his final days. Thank you again, all staff at Calvary!!!

Watch your belongings. Somebody in that hospital stole my mother in law's iPad right after she passed away. The staff was unhelpful in trying to recover it. When we asked them to just check a drawer, they immediately cried that they were not responsible for missing property. When you check your loved one in, they list the valuable property on a paper, you'd think they'd use that as a check list when they are gathering the deceased' belongings. Instead of trying to help, they just deny any responsibility.

My uncle spent approximately one month at Calvary Hospital between intestinal surgeries. I was initially concerned that Calvary Hospital was for people who were in need of comfort leading up to their final days and might not be the right fit for my uncle; a man who was hopeful and expected to make a full recovery. However; Calvary Hospital was a blessing in our time of need. My uncle received care that went above and beyond anything we expected. In every possible way from the space, the staff, the food, the medical attention; Calvary Hospital exceeded. I highly recommend Calvary Hospital for you or your loved one whatever the circumstance may be. Sincere thanks and appreciation to the entire staff at Calvary Hospital.

My Mother received Calvary at Home Hospice Care, and she was given excellent care by the nurses and home health aides. The equipment that was ordered (bed, wheelchair, oxygen) was delivered on-time and set up perfectly. The nurses that come to check on my mother were very
professional, friendly and compassionate, and did everything to make her comfortable. When we had to call the 800 number for advise, someone returned our call within a very short time. With the help of Calvary we were able to honor my Mother's wishes to be at home, and to die with dignity surrounded by her family.
