Calvert Woodley Fine Wines & Spirits

Been shopping here for 7 years. Staff is always extremely knowledgeable, but always helpful and never snooty with novices like some fancier places can be. Great selection, including wines and liquors you can't find anywhere else in the US because they import or bottle a lot themselves. Plus they're a local business, and they've been there forever - and with good reason based on my experience!

Calvert Woodley is a well-established wine store that has been on DC for a long time. They are experts in all wines, liquor and cheeses (large selection). In addition, they have the best prices in DC as far as I know. The staff is always looking out for what customers need and are available to help them. Their selection of wines and liquors is extensive. They can also order some rare vintages upon request. I have patronized this store for many years and will not go anywhere else.

Ridiculously good (not just wide, but high quality) selection of beers and the only reliable retailer of Tilquin I can find in the city. Kind and helpful staff, and comes with the bonus of being a mini-market of cheeses (and bagels!?) too.

The largest selection of international wines in the DC/MD/VA area. What you think you may only find online may be found here. We found wine from a very small region of Europe here. And it was hit for dinner with guests. Also, excellent selection of cheeses. Great customer service all around.

Good selection. Picked up a sandwich they had ready to go. Good meats, loved the crusty bread.
