We have had to board our two cats here and we are very impressed with this facility! The room for cats is totally away from the dogs and there are NO crates or cages! The cats are allowed to free roam around the two rooms, food is available always, litter boxes are always clean. There are cat towers, cubby holes and toys. My boy is very shy and he has found a spot he loves to stay in where he feels safe and comfy! His sister is a little more out going, but she stays close to him. I would highly recommend Camp Barkalot for your fur baby anytime!
Love Camp Barkalot. The staff are so friendly and kind. My dog loves coming here - she gets so excited as soon as I pull in the parking lot. She always comes home happy & exhausted. Their grooming services are great too. She comes home in a new bandana every time.
My partner and I had a very unprofessional experience here. We had our dog scheduled to stay here for two weekends in a row. After the first weekend when my partner picked our dog up, the woman at the front desk told him about a fight that our dog supposedly initiated thankfully no dogs were injured. Our dog has never attacked a dog ever and so we were confused. She has also been there at least three times before and there was never an issue. My partner asked if they would still be able to watch her for the following weekend. The women said that she didn't know, but that we were going to get a call from them soon. We were prepared for the possibility that she may not be able to come back and understood that sometimes dogs aren't a good fit at certain kennels. We did not expect to receive an incredibly rude and unnecessary phone call the next day. They could have told us that she couldn't come back they day we picked her up, but decided to antagonize us on the phone instead. We told them on the phone that our dog has never had any aggression issues in the past and their response was, "well she is certainly no angel". What adult working with animals says something like this? If you work with animals, it is expected that you don't develop some weird vendetta against them especially when you are getting paid to take good care of them. If they approached us in a way that was professional at all then I would probably feel ok about this place, but this experience definitely made me question how this place views and treats their animals.
I left my two beautiful cats, Barney and KitKat, at the Kitty camp while I was gone for 4 days. They looked happy and healthy enough when I returned. I had also left dry food and wet food for them and they seemed well fed they have free food but my cats can be choosy. They have two adjoining tiny rooms filled with cat trees and hidey holes and snoozing spots. They were the only place I could find where my kitties won't be put in a tiny cage and instead were left to roam free in two rooms. Plus they are cheaper than most places. Will surely leave my cats here if I ever need to go away for the weekend again. So happy to find this pet hotel.
I have been sending my dogs to Camp Barkalot for over 4 years now and we love it. It’s a family owned business and they really run it that way. My dogs are so happy when they are dropped off and I get to see pics posted on social media throughout the day. It’s affordable and they really care about my dogs.
Twice now my pup has come home with something in his fur. Once was after I paid for a bath. When I got home I had to get him another bath. Checking in and checking out is always a breeze and employees are always organized and friendly . Last visit he came home with two small puncture wounds. While their web tends make one believe overnight stays price includes their own sleeping area. Unfortunately several are in the same sleeping quarters. I also was no one is staying in the facility overnight, so if a problem arises they won't know until next morning . I agree with others that dogs don't get a lot of attention as far as play time.
We've been bringing our blue heeler to Camp Barkalot for years and love it! Even after three years, he still whines with excitement when we pull up. The staff is very friendly, the facility is clean, and the passes are affordable. Highly recommend!!
I was worried. My dog was not used to boarding but they made it easy. Took the time to help Limcoln feel at home and tried both big dogs and medium to help him feel safe. He is medium but felt safer with the big dogs. I recommend this place because I could tell they really care about dogs.
This is a great dog daycare and boarding facility. They're caring, positive, and polite. We've taken our dog here many times over the past year. When we bring her to daycare or pick her up, it hardly ever takes more than 60 seconds, unless we want to speak with the staff, in which case they're always available.
I have been to a few other day cares and this one is absolutely my favorite and my puppy loves coming here always has fun and comes home tired! I would definitely recommend this place! thank you for your great service!
