Camp Foster YMCA

My kids have been going to Camp Foster day camp for 4 years. We drive from Wisconsin just to come to Camp Foster. The camp counselors are wonderful and my kids love them. The activities that they get to do each day are fabulous. I am so grateful for such a fun and safe place for my kids to enjoy summer activities.

My husband went to camp when he was young and now our children go every year. The staff is fantastic and I would absolutely recommend going.

Part of the local YMCA, this camp along with the aforementioned local YMCA partake in typically shady non-profit business practices and divert attention away from it by "giving back to the local community" and play the religion card to shed any and all traces of responsibility when in fact they force their seasonal "employees" to work in slave like conditions with little training then have the audacity to pay them below minimum wage (they get away with it by being a non-profit and legally labeling them volunteers, when the only word they use publicly is employee, except employees have rights, these people don't). Instead they just build $10,000+ stainless steel statues to show off, instead of paying the students that typically work there a livable wage. This is the kind of place that forces its "employees" (non-manager staff) to pay for the uniform that you are required to wear. It may look fun and may be a cheap alternative to day care while you party along on the lake without the kids, but you couldn't pay me to send my kids to this camp. For this place is farce, a true wolf in sheep's clothing.

Only the single greatest place the world has to offer. I've been going since I was 4 and 14 years later, I still hope to go back. Camp has had such an impact on me in most anyway I can imagine. If you have even considered going for even a half week, absolutely do! Keep the Flame Alive!!!
