Cannon Dam Cabins & General Store

We stayed in these cabins the weekend of May 11-13, 2018. We thought the experience was great, we even told the lady at check-out that we would be coming back for sure! We had a hard time finding the cabins at first, but that was due to poor service and poor planning on our end. The staff was very friendly, the cabins were fully stocked as they said that they would be. Yes, as other reviews stated the towels were a little small, but bring your own and you will be fine. The beds are as comfortable as they can be. The cabins were clean, I mean we are "camping" so what would you expect? They do allow pets, but no one seemed to bring any that were disorderly, we brought ours also. The cashiers in the store were always friendly with smiling faces and the walk from the cabins to the store is extremely convenient. I am not sure that their private lake actually has any fish in it, but we were there for Mark Twain and a nice weekend away so their lake was only an added bonus! Overall, our experience was definitely 5 star and we will most definitely be back with our family!! Thank you Cannon Dam Cabins!

So small and cute. The gentleman in there was very nice and helpful. Our first time around here, the man gave us some good fishing spots! Prices aren't bad either. Would definitely come back. They also have a small menu, including pizza and breakfast pizza sandwiches, and snacks!

Me and my family have been camping here for three years we love it. We enjoy the fishing and swimming. The cabins are real comfortable and very nice for the price. Can't wait till next year

Cannon dam cabins is a fun..family oriented..well kept ..well run business and fun cabins to camp and have an entire family get away conviently located near great features of cannon dam and mark twain lake. The pool side cabins are AWESOME and well kept.. With even cable..I was astonishing pleased with a small pond around back to fish in and a pool open till 10. I highly recommend conning here to hit the lake for a fishing trip or cruise on the beautiful lake. Or just come out and bring the entire family for a great camping expiernce.!!!

Well Trish, it's easy to exaggerate, there is tall grass and cattails on one end of the lake not all around it. It's a habitat for the creatures that use it to live in. The bugs and flies are what exist in a more country setting, it's called nature. I doubt very seriously you saw ants in the kitchen. I am able to stay there often as I build my little place, have been staying there for 10 years and never saw ants. I know the young lady that cleans the cabins and she don't leave then dingy. The towels I will give you, they are small. As a previous poster said it is not a five star place but a clean, well kept country lakeside hotel. The consistently filled cabins by mostly repeat people like me attest to that.
