Yes hi my name is Richard Wallace and I have come down to the Capital One Cafe in Harvard square actually the only one that's I had access to from the Dorchester area I've come all the way from Phil's corner and Dorchester Mass to come to this facility to receive some assistance and activating my credit card you have a individual who works here her name is May boy and her assistant were very very instrumental and assisting me in initializing my Capital One credit card without her help I would have been discombobulated in unable to accomplish the small task as she has shown me how easy it is to process the information that I needed to activate this account her grace and patience with me and helping me to understand the process was truly truly inspirational and helpful I believe you should give her a bonus raise for this assistance because she was so patient and caring and helping me understand the process of a electronic banking system which I had no idea in dealing with so once again I would like to express my gratitude and thanks for having to be in the presence of such a knowledgeable individual May boy it's spelled m e i b u y who works at the Harvard square Capital One Cafe she is the number one ambassador to this facility in once again you should give her a bonus and a raise for being so patient she even stayed overtime to assist me in activating my card

I first want to disclose virtually every single barista and associate at ALL Capital One Cafe’s are excellent, nice, and caring. And the drinks are also superb. However, due to a very disappointing experience I had today at this location I have decided to create a review which I rarely do. This morning the barista who I believe his name starts with an M and I think is Moammad was extremely rude and disrespectful. I came in to purchase three drinks today for myself and family members as there was a promotion for $1 drinks any size. Additionally, having a capital one card allows one to receive half off drinks and I have been a very frequent customer to this location coming almost every weekend for many months. The barista M was visibly in a bad mood when I checked in on the peets app for points and placed the order for three drinks. One of my sister’s with me remarked that he seems to have a problem no hello, more just aggravated I was ordering anything In general, he always seems to have an issue when I come in to the branch. After receiving the three drinks, I asked the barista a question which he completely ignored and I repeated my question at the payment terminal “is the $1 price for iced teas as well?” I just remembered my other sister wanted an iced tea if it’s $1 during this promo period . And I got an extremely rude and vile response as the barista raised his tone of voice at me “I am the only barista here for this shift so I cannot make another drink for you. Come back when someone else comes in for work for a fourth drink. I can’t make anymore for you” As someone who worked at a grocery store during the early months of the COVID pandemic and I was the only one of two associates working at certain points due to infections and quarantine I never told a customer that I cannot help them because we are low staff. keep in mind there were times during this period in which 15-20+ people were in line. Furthermore, there was no customer in the capital one cafe other than my sister and myself, nobody in line so the issue was not that he was the only barista but something else. Everyone else at this location is awesome but this barista is unpleasant , I won’t be ordering drinks when he is working. The banking associate guy who I spoke to afterwards apologized and was extremely nice and understanding even offering a free iced tea but my other sister who wanted the tea had work and left the area. I hope no customer has to experience this one rude and frankly vile associate at this location. I was so upset at this experience, I threw out my iced vanilla latte with oat milk drink into the garbage later that same morning which was almost completely full. It was so unexpected that it dampened the mood from a place I always enjoy going to. I hope this complaint does not go unpunished. people the in customer service industry have no right to speak to someone like this let alone deny a service like making an additional drink just because you’re the only one working. Extremely u pleasant barista and experience today that I wish upon no one. Furthermore when M quipped and raised his voice that he is the only one working there and therefore he cannot make another drink was an outright LIE. There was no one in line at 8:40 AM today, the few people who entered the store were still by the entrance . Clearly he has other problems and he doesn’t seem to treat other customers this way.. for now.
One of the best places to study and take a step back from the hustle and bustle. Helpful staff, always clean, and fast WiFi. Go and finish all the work you’ve been procrastinating on.
On my visit I was having trouble at the ATM and Maria came right over and helped figure out what the problem was. She helped me fix the situation and continue my transaction with ease. She was truly the BEST and it was by far my favorite customer service experience ever. Having people like that during 2020 is amazing! Thank you so much for making me smile.
YO THIS IS MY BEST KEPT SECRET BUT I'LL LET YOU IN ON IT. 50% off handcrafted drinks if you use a Capital One credit or debit card. Where else can I get a almond milk matcha latte for under $3??? And on certain days marked "Happy Hour" on the blackboard inside once or twice a week it's FREE. Also, the space is nice and there are always seats. Love love love this place.
The quality of my order caramel coffee javiva was amazing, absolutely delicious. The quality of the customer service I received was terrible. First of all, I stood in line waiting for a few minutes before I was greeted or even acknowledged. Second, once I was asked how I could be helped, the cashier was very rude I asked a question about what the difference between 2 of the drinks were, he answered every question I had with so much attitude and sarcasm, I was in shock. After taking my order, he then went on to help the next customer very nicely and politely, smiled and overall just treated the next customer so much better than he had treated me. This was my first experience at Capital One Café and most likely my last.
Such a convenient location to do work, and I love the discounts on coffee with a Capital One card! All banks should be doing this!
