I'll never forget living there 5 years ago and almost every floor and every apartment had bed bugs. The best part was I didn't read in the contract that Capri was not responsible for paying to have exterminators to take care of the bed bugs. I paid 3 companies to finally have them killed. Cost about 10K most other tenants couldn't afford that so they took the hit on the credit and moved out. That was pretty shameful of you Capri. That's something no one will forget. READ THE FINE PRINT. Oh and if your day late on rent it's 50 bucks. This was 5 years ago hopefully they changed one of those policies. Your not at a home there your the share holders profit
I've been a resident at Capri on Camelback since 2021, and unfortunately, since Harbor Management Group took over more than a year ago, the property has deteriorated significantly. Here are some of the issues I've experienced: 1Security was ceased when Harbor took over, leading to people loitering at the pool at all hours, homeless individuals camping out in various areas like laundry rooms and parking lots, and a significant increase in crime, including incidents like a meth lab, domestic violence, and shootings. 2The washers and dryers are unreliable, often ruining clothes, getting them stuck, or not drying them completely. Despite numerous complaints to the office, the company, and the BBB, the issue remains unresolved. 3Pest control problems persist due to the office's negligence in addressing trash accumulation and unclean hallways, allowing pests to thrive. 4I've faced electrical and plumbing issues, with the electrical problem taking months to resolve, severely limiting my apartment usage. 5High turnover in office staff has hindered effective assistance. 6Elevator breakdowns have occurred frequently, causing inconvenience and safety concerns. 7Despite having a pool heater, it's not utilized, and the jacuzzi often breaks down with only one side of jets working. 8Inadequate lighting in certain areas poses safety risks, and walkways flood during rain. 9Residents cannot control the heating or cooling in their apartments due to a centralized chiller system. 10 Residents do not have access to the gym if the office is closed. The office is open only open 9am-6pm, some weekend days it doesn’t open until 1pm This gives no early morning gym access or late afternoon gym access for those that work normal 9-5 scheduled hours. 11 hallway access doors are all broken. Posing safety risks and allowing rodents and trash to constantly enter the hallways. In summary, I strongly advise against considering Capri on Camelback due to these ongoing issues. Harbor group management does not care about its residents or the Capri property itself.
The staff and management are terrific. Jessica,Christine,Greg, Erica and Monica has always been very attentive and time sensitive to any situation. Maintenance has responded quickly to all my work orders. I just renewed my lease solely because of the staff here. I continue to recommend this property to anybody in the market for a place to live. Sincerely Jack Dickson.
DO NOT COME HERE! So I’ve been here more than roughly half a year and let me tell you how bad this place is. I’ll make a list. 1. Laundry room is the sketchiest, that has like 1 working laundry machine. I know people in different buildings that have the same issues, so it’s apartment wide. 2. Disgusting hallways, honestly with the cockroaches and trash everywhere, you’d probably be better off living under a bridge. 3. On that note, cockroaches are everywhere. It won’t matter how clean you are. Prepare. 4. Probably the worst one for me since we are in Az, but I found out recently that apparently the thermostat system isn’t “real”. The thermostat is basically a Toy. The building cooling is determined by them and every apartment is the same. Want to know the crazy part? They have it marked as a centralized system in the lease. So this is just straight not true. How messed up is that? 5. Customer service? One thing that doesn’t help is the people “running” I say running but it’s more like limping the office. They are rude and just want to be done talking to you. There isn’t any interpersonal communication between you and them, they just want that paycheck. 6. Parking is pretty rough. If you park anywhere that isn’t paid for, you run the risk of having your stuff broken into. There’s zero lights in the parking lots. Honestly, this place is by far the worst place I’ve ever lived at. Easily. There’s so many problems and the people running the front office don’t care enough to fix them. Please do yourself a favor and live somewhere else.
There are always pros and cons to every apartment. First, I would like to give a huge shoutout to Timeira Deaderick. She was fantastic in answering all my questions and getting me set up in my new apartment quickly. She has a wonderful attitude and is reliable and professional. Capri has nice features like the pool, gym, and lounge, all of which are new and clean. However, the hallways are unpleasant and have a bad odor. There is chipped paint, stains on the carpet, and a lingering smell due to the trash valet service requiring you to leave your trash outside of your door which sounds convenient until it gets hot and there is no airflow. Honestly, if the apartment complex simply updated the hallways and enforced more rules/restrictions about cleaning up patios, I would give Capri 5/5. Nevertheless, you get what you pay for; these rates are great for the area.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! Our packages are stolen on the regular. Both our vehicles which we pay $70 a month to park have been broken into. Someone even stole my rims and tires from my assigned spot and i told The complex 5 times they did NOTHING and towed my car from the spot I pay for. You’re better off living anywhere but here! Homeless in San Francisco is safer!!!! Do not move here
Have been renting for 8 years with different apartments each time and this is by far the worst place I’ve ever rented or lived! Cockroach infestation, broken hallway doors, nasty hallways with stains and smells, holes in the walls. The staff shut off the AC units when it’s still 70-80 during the day and we are forced to sleep with 80 degree temps in our apartment. Laundry room is always disgusting and 80% of the dryers/washers don’t even work. Rent rate increases every month due to small “add ons” with utilities. This whole apartment complex is infested with cockroaches that they “spray” for while they double charge you for that each month. the thermostat system isn’t “real” The buildings cooling is determined by them and every apartment is the same. While online They have it marked as a centralized system in the lease. Smelly moldy hallways and unsafe parking lots there is terrible lighting Homeless sleeping in the walkways while urinating and littering The staff is little to no help with anything They say they care but they really do not. You will lose your money to the washers and dryers almost every time you use them We do not feel safe here for many reasons Maintenance requests are denied or never looked into
The person living in A406 is having parties and playing loud music past 2am on weekdays. This has happened now on multiple occasions. Last night, someone from his party pulled the fire alarm and then someone was shooting a gun outside in the parking lot after. Earlier this week there were homeless people sleeping in the dog park by the A building and blatently smoking Fentynal. This is all unacceptable for the amount of money i pay to live here. On top of all the broken laundry rooms, this is all completely unacceptable and grounds to break my lease. What is being done about this, and why shouldnt i break my lease today? i only see people moving out now, i dont see any new people moving in and for good reason too
DONT MOVE HERE. HORRIBLE GREEDY OFFICE MANAGMENT!! I gave 30 day notice, and was told my balance was good, and even that I over paid in September. I moved out end of Oct. and was told I was OK, and no amount owed yet. End of November I was informed I was being charged for all of Oct, and all of Nov. Too! Plus they waited to inform me so they could hit me with late charges!! I moved because of how confusing and OVER PRICED their list of charges were! Plus in a whole yr they didn't fix any of the broken washers & dryers! After 2YRS OF BEING A GOOD TENENT HERE, THIS IS JUST DISGRACFUL!!
Great workers that help you get acclimated into the apartment. It sucks there is no gym access before the office people come in and leave. I did get maintenance to fix issues immediately besides helping me bring a couch in it was stolen or something and oh well I have no place to sit but that is technically not their job anyway
