Carpenter Theatre

Beautiful inside and out. You really need to experience the beauty of this theater. It is incredible inside. Very intimate, well lit, and the acoustics are pretty good. The theater is not massive so even the higher seats give you a great view. We saw the youth orchestra and it was great. The staff are very helpful and strict about the no phones/filming policy, which minimizes distractions.

I've been here a few times but my most recent experience was uncomfortable. I don't know if the balcony seats are different than the floor seats but I ended up in the balcony and was very uncomfortable. I squirmed the entire time, I felt like my knees didn't have any room and I'm only 5'5. Lines were long for concession and I didnt wait so cant comment on taste or price. Lighting was nice for the event and sound quality was good. I actually left the show early though because I couldn't stand the seat any longer.

Beautiful architecture!!! Have seen many shows here and have always enjoyed the intimacy of the venue. Love Richmond and love The Carpenter Center 😊

Excellent lighting very good sound system only thing is the seats a little too low hope all is good

The theater was beautiful. I was there for a graduation was able to enjoy all the art throughout the theater.
