Casablanca Restaurant

Love this restaurant. Food is fantastic and prices are reasonable. The owner travels to the Middle East to purchase their olive oil - this enhances the flavors and is a completely different product from store-bought olive oil. This plays into the delicious hummus, My favorites: The Grand Sultan appetizer in less than $20 and comes on 7 plates. Plenty of food for two people as a meal. Also love the lamb and beef shawarma. They also boast the best tea in Memphis -- spiced and honey sweetened.

Food is delicious, but the service could use a lot of work. I waited 40 minutes for my to-go Super Sandwich order, and when I asked if it was ready yet, it turned out that it had been sitting ready for a while but nobody had bagged it up. When I got it back to my office, the pita had completely soaked through, and everything was dead cold. 5-star food, 1-star experience, so I'll take the average and round it up to 3-stars, since the food really is that good. Hopefully this was an isolated incident, I'll give Casablanca another shot and update my rating accordingly next time if the service is better. What you should really take away from this is that the food is so incredibly good that despite being made late coming back to work and eating my order stone cold, I still enjoyed my meal.

I like the remodel. The food here is decent but there are better middle eastern restaurants in Memphis. I had the falafel sandwich with a side of hummus. The side of hummus was $2. After we received our order, we realized that we did not get any bread. So the hummus comes without bread?! My husband ordered an vegetarian entree - $12 - again no bread!? Like I said, the food is decent but....

Casablanca is still one of my favorite restaurants in Memphis. A bit pricey, but trust me it is totally worth it. Salads have fresh romaine lettuce and shawerma is always lean and tasty. Hands down the best tea (hot or cold) if you like it sweet. The hummus is great so I usually add it to everything I get. And the service is fantastic. This is one of my favorite cozy restaurants I recommend to friends and visitors.

The service was great. The food was amazing and very filling. I recommend the Big Mac of the Middle East! I’ve been in Memphis for a few years and this is the first time I have visited here. I will definitely come back!
