This has been a nightmare from the beginning. I purchased 5 lessons up front based on my daughter starting the apprenticeship on the 3rd lesson. My daughter has previous ridding experience. However, Nancy does not remember what she says nor did she remember several conversations we have had regarding the apprenticeship training. My first appointment was cancelled and moved to another day to accommodate a party. The second lesson was great Grace had did the lesson.
After the second lesson, I discussed my daughter starting the apprenticeship on the next lesson which was the 3rd. Nancy had stated that she was having problems with some of the younger girls that were doing the apprenticeship program. Nancy expressed that being that there were already existing issues among the girls she did not want to start my daughter in the apprenticeship program. I said that I am not sure what that has to do with us based on several conversations between us and our arrangement my daughter was to start the apprenticeship on the 3rd lesson. From that point on I thought we both were on the same page.
Nancy cancelled my daughters 3rd lesson without my knowledge and didn't even call me to advise.When we showed up we were questioned why were we there. Grace had stated I thought Nancy called you I said no, no-one called us. I went into the office once again and attempted to discuss the arrangements with Nancy however she was making excuses blaming other people. She became upset and told Jennifer to talk to me.
I spoke to Jennifer we were able to get my daughter in and start the apprenticeship program that day. When I left Nancy was talking about me in a negative manner in front of my daughter which made her very uncomfortable. When I arrived to pick my daughter up she started crying saying how horrible Nancy treated her. I believe the issues are due to Nancy's age and is incapable of running the business in a professional manner. We have two lessons left after that we will not be returning. Make sure whatever you arrange with her get it in writing.
Since I cannot respond to Nancy's response I decided edit the review and address the lies that were stated.
1. Not once did I raise my voice I spoke to you several times even frustrated and always kept it professional. When I voiced my concerns instead you decided to make excuses or try to turn it around on me. Like I stated you did not recall every single conversation we have had regarding my daughter taking the apprenticeship program. You did not mention signing any contract. This is the first time I am hearing this! You wanted to see what level of experience my daughter was at before moving forward. That was the main reason why I purchased the lessons in bulk.
2. I never expected anything free. I purchased the 5 lessons up front based on our agreement. I never expected or asked for 2 free lessons. That was apart of the terms you and I discussed. You decided to switch up and change your mind once you discovered there was drama going on among the apprenticeship girls.
3. My daughter spent about 30 minutes in total with Jennifer and shadowed Grace the remaining time. You started Jennifer spent 2 hours with her which that is a lie!
4. Yes you did cancel our lesson. We were not on the schedule for 3p.m. My daughters name was remove from the schedule and replaced with someone else. Jennifer showed me the schedule to verify that we were not on it!
5. I find it odd that you did not address the fact about gossiping about me in front of my daughter, which is also unprofessional in inappropriate!
Yes, I would gladly like a refund hopefully I don't have a difficult time collecting the funds for last two lessons.

The owner here is emotionally unstable and she exploded on me when I showed up for my introductory lesson. I can’t remember why she was so upset, but nothing justifies the outright anger and aggression directed at me. She even threatened to call the police on me if I didn’t leave immediately. I never hesitated to leave. She simply didn’t like me speaking up about my concerns. Never had that happen anywhere and it was scary!

My Daughter and I Visited today, it was our first time. I was very impressed with how Friendly and Welcoming everybody was! From the Staff and Horses, to the Riders and their Families, we received nothing but kindness and smiles from the very moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had nothing but wonderful time. Thank you Castle Rock Arabians!

I took my two young granddaughters there to introduce them to horseback riding. The owners were absolutely wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure the girls had a great time...(they even found a pair of boots for one of the girls to wear). The horses they picked out for the girls were perfect and patient with young riders on their backs. Both girls had so much fun! They learned how to saddle a horse, brush a horse, put on a bridle, and had a complete riding lesson. I can't say enough about how wonderful this riding stable is!!!! I will definitely be taking the girls back, and plan on riding myself next time.

I have known Nancy for years and everything she has ever been involved with is first class. I would and have recommend her facility to people. She has been serving the horse community with her expertise for as long as I can remember. As the founding President of the Sonoma County Horse Council, I come in contact with a lot of people needing help with training, riding and support for their equine interests for themselves and their children. I recommend Castle Rock Arabians too any one that asks.
