You know what’s going on!!! Stop playing customer service was on a dub, food was on a 10, and the wait time was an Ace of Spade! The food was so good that I can’t tell you how much I paid for it. &&& you can’t beat the fact that a snowball stand is right next door.. I mean, come on, what more do you need?? Clean from the front to the back, hot food and laidback workers! Go pass on them..
A family favorite. We've gotten poboys and plate food for Castnet ever since I can remember. The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. If you want to skip the line, call ahead and order. There's also a large parking lot to the side for super busy times.
This place mainly serves for takeout, there are only limited seating available, one indoor picnic table, two outdoor picnic tables. You need to take a number first to order when you enter the door. The seafood was fresh and delicious, we ordered 2 dozen of oysters for $26, their sizes were uneven, some of them were huge. We 4 of us also ordered one soft shell crab one fried oyster plates, 3 pounds of crawfish, and a gumbo. All of them were good, crawfish was spiced nicely just to the point, and every one of them was delicious; soft shell crab had a fried aroma, it's crispy, but somehow lacks umami; seafood gumbo looked average, but it's tasted delicious, the soap ingredient includes sausage oyster shrimp, only thing was that I had to warm it by a microwave by myself since it was cold when i got it. Overall we spent about $100 for 4, ate more than normal, and took a plate food as leftovers not to waste food.
Castnet NEVER disappoints! There is NEVER a time that I go home that I don't go to get my Castnet fix! Always half shrimp half oyster dressed! A must go to for fresh seafood as well. OMG seafood heaven! I've been going to Castnet for 31 years.
We discovered Casnets two years ago on our vacation just out exploring and we smelled the seafood from down the street so we had to stop where we saw the crowd. Now everytime we're in New Orleans we have to stop through. The staff is amazing and the food is even better. Crawfish seasoned sooo good and the fried food is always fresh. On our most recent trip for Mardi Gras, we tried the hot sausage po-boy and it was delicious. We always get the crawfish, crabs, sausage, turkey neck, and corn as well. They moved all seating to outside but luckily the weather was great.
Came here looking for some crawfish while visiting. We had a super friendly lady show us around and helped us with our order. Me and my family have never ate crawfish before, so she showed us how to eat them! The flavor was super good! Wish I could go back and get more !!
It's National Gumbo Day. File' gumbo was sold out so I got the okra, both are sold cold, I haven't tried it yet. I also ordered a 10" shrimp po'boy to share, it was very good and the half was full of shrimp and quite filling. Oh, and I didn't have to wait very long. I also found the prices reasonable the service good pleasant. Enjoy!!!
Ribs were solid. Brisket was good for non-Texas style brisket and the beans were good.
AMAZING!!! All fresh seafood and they are not stingy. Fullest poboy ever seen. Wonderful oysters and shrimp. And the stuffed crab was so good taste all the flavors. Catfish will be hard to beat anywhere else. If in town gotta try!!! Great owners, great atmosphere.
Good food. Usually busy so there's a bit of a wait
