Loki stayed at Cats Cradle for about 4 1/2 months prior to an overseas move. Going in he was a pretty shy guy. Between the awesome cat energy there, "Auntie" Paula's love and attention and Ken's persistent efforts to be Loki's friend, he came out of there a different, very confident cat. On the flight from Denver to Lisbon, in the cabin with me and a layover in Newark, he was cool, calm and collected. He's settling into life in Portugal well and I can't thank Paula and Ken enough for the care Loki received with them.
These people obviously care about their cats. They took very good care of my two cats for about 6 days while we went to the mountains where cats were not allowed. They were very reasonably priced, too! Isn't it weird about Denver, though? They're all about animals, but you can't take them anywhere because nobody wants them in their homes. Bring a cat carrier with you, because you'll need it. They seem to be very concerned with the safety of all of the cats. Several of their own cats roam the floors and they don't want them outside, which I understand. It was a very clean facility and obviously, they know how to take care and love on your cats. I found myself appreciating the care they seem to take from day one. They make it a priority to make sure that your cat is safe and they have very large cages for your cat with plenty of room to move around. Several levels in the cage, sometimes. They require the normal level of shots and shot records, which I appreciated, helping me feel a little bit safer about bringing my cats in with other cats. They do not accept anything but checks and cash. That's a downfall these days. I realize why they do it and it's not a bad reason, but they're a little bit behind the times. If a credit card company charges you between 4-6%, it can really hurt a small business sometimes. However, I might suggest using PayPal friends where there is no fee taken away, and some other apps that don't charge anything. Those would be simple to use and make it very easy for people to pay for their cat's stay. If I were to ever come to Denver again, which I hope I never do because Denver is no longer a nice place to go to. Too many people. Infrastructure is not up to date and can't handle the traffic nor the number of people everywhere. Instead of a being a Rocky mountain high atmosphere, with the beautiful mountains all around you, it's pure concrete and civilization that is at its worst. That's just my opinion. Still, for the purpose of this review, I would certainly take my cats here again. The only negative I have to this place is one that would not affect your cat care, but it was frustrating to find this place as it's kind of hidden in the woods. There's no clear bright signage saying "turn here." It could be a very dangerous place to turn into with all of the traffic and a major intersection less than a hundred foot away.
I've never boarded my cats before and was very nervous about the process. My cats were very comfortably lounging when I picked them up and seemed to not even want to leave. They seem to have been very well taken care of during their stay. All the cats who were on their out of cage time when I arrived were super friendly and seemed very happy. I would highly recommend.
Simple, but loving care, for your kitties. The cages are fairly spacious with multiple tiers, and if your kitty gets along well with others they let them out during the day. They do well with giving medications, and my cat always seems just as healthy as when I left her.
Although an older business/house it seems clean. Owners obviously like cats a lot. $10 a day very reasonable and cages have levels. Only thing negative is we called to check on our kitty and they gave a generic everything is fine answer and couldn't answer any questions specifically about her nor when I picked her up. He didn't know if she'd had wet food or been let out of the cage much or got on ok with the other kitties 6 days! there.
Very reasonable prices. I kinda didn't like the kennels they put the cats in. I feel like it could be a little more cozy. But overall they took good care of my girl.
My cat has gone to cat’s cradle for years when I take extended vacations. My cat and I are incredibly bonded, so I was nervous to leave him the first time. When I came back from my trip, taco was fighting me to leave! I could tell he had such a good time & was able to rest when I came home, when ordinarily he would be hyper & driving me crazy. This place even made him more comfortable in his carrier because he thinks we are always going to cat’s cradle! Each cat gets their own space with wet and dry food, their own litter box, and can get out to be social with the other kitties if they like. The owners are very mindful of introducing new cats to the regulars & have a whole system for it! They also trim nails by request! I recommend this place to all of my friends & clients, I can’t say enough good things about it.
We left our older cat there for the first time recently. She requires prescription diet with added supplements, and daily fluid infusions. We were nervous because it’s hard to find cat sitters who understand the needs of such a cat and who have the skills to make the injections. Not only were her needs met but they connected with her, and she came home in great shape physically and mentally. We appreciate that so much, and we definitely recommend Cats Cradle.
I'm currently between housing and my cats are boarded here. I get to go see them and pet them. The people there have been great and my cats look happy and are not stressing which makes me happy. I can't wait until I get a home and my cats back.
