I live in PA and was purchasing a used sedan from a relative in MD. I contacted Caton Auto Clinic a couple of weeks in advance to schedule an appointment for a pre-purchase inspection. I had a great experience during my time at Caton Auto Clinic. The energy of the staff was exceptional. Deana has a great personality. I really appreciated the modern way I was provided with the inspection report, with photos, via a link in a text message. I was also provided a printout of the issues discovered, along with the estimated cost of repairs Tires & Brakes, so that I could present documentation to my relative. And they also provide free snacks and refreshments. If I lived in that MD area, I would certainly patronize Caton Auto Clinic.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I've been a customer for over 25 years. Although I've heard complaints about service I was always happy until today. I dropped my car off at 8am for my scheduled appointment. I was very clear that the tires needed to be replaced. I received a phone call at 2:45pm that the tech had just finished inspecting my car. I was told I need new tires, air & cabin filter replacement. I asked if the tires would be replaced by today, I was told no. Further I was told the reason they called so late was they had to finish all the work that was done on the cars that were brought in yesterday that was not done. If they didn't have to do the work from yesterday my car would have been looked at earlier today, tires ordered and replaced. I will share my concerns with others to prevent them from expecting their car to be repaired on the day dropped off. I spoke with Scott this morning Friday Feb 10and my issues were addressed and resolved. This was a learning situation for all involved. Although I appreciated the offer to replace my tires at no charge, I could not accept. We agreed to split the cost.Service: Oil change

I am so impressed by this business. I did not get good service at a local dealership, so went to them hoping they could get to the bottom of an issue with my car. They did, indeed, figure out what was going on and corrected it. I also wanted regular service to be done on my car, and they did that, too, giving me their findings and recommendations. I can’t thank them enough for communicating with me about everything all the way along the way, answering my questions, and making sure I understood all that they had found and done. I use this shop exclusively for all of our fleet vehicle needs. They are outstanding. They were able to diagnose and correct an issue on my F150 in a couple of days that had stumped three different Ford dealerships and had wasted more than two months of time combined! They also provide complimentary pick-up and drop-off for fleet vehciles which means I can keep working while they have my truck. Their customer service is excellent. They are friendly, helpful, professional and they care about your car. The only thing that I would even complain about is the cost of their parts & labor. They charge 4 times the price of the tie rods that failed inspection I bought at Advance Auto. I had to get my mechanic to replace the tie rods because I couldn't afford their price at 1/4th the price. However unless you have someone else who can do the repairs Caton Auto is comparable to or better than all other Shops. They were completely understanding and had no problem with me having someone else to do the job. I did have them do the wheel alignment and they are reasonably priced on that and very reliable. First , I had taken the car to a Honda dealership. They could not find the problem and communication with them was very poor. Then I took it to Caton Auto.. i received prompt service and they identified exactly what was wrong after they used a dye in the air conditioning system.. Great day for car repair services at Caton Auto Clinic. I took my 4runner in for shaking and vibrating. Not only did the service technician resolve the problem, but he completed the task in record timing. The service was awesome because the folks at Caton Auto Clinic really care. Before any services were rendered, a complete detailed list of needed repairs was sent to my phone. Pictures were included!! An estimate of cost was given, and I received a discount. My 4runner is purring like a kitten, again. Special thanks to Deana and Chris, in the front office. Thank you to all employees for their hard work. A job well done!!

In early April of this year my car started showing signs of the alternator failing. I used to take my car to local branch of a major chain, but everyone I used to deal with at that location either retired or moved on and the quality fell through the floor. A family member recommended Caton Auto Clinic, so I called and spoke to Chris about my issue. We scheduled an appointment to bring my car in, in two days. Well, I didn't make it two days. The next day on the way home from the office the power gave out in my car. I got my car towed, and thankfully Caton has a convenient system for dropping cars off overnight. So I left my car at Caton that night so it'd be there on time for the appointment the next day. When they got to my car, I received a text to inform me they were looking at the car and that they had follow-up questions. I then spoke to Deana about my car. They took a look at it and sent me a detailed report about the issue with my car, and some other things they noticed. Two things here. One, they actually followed-up without me having to call back repeatedly to ask what was going on ... I *always* had to call the major chain back in recent year. Two, they pointed out some other issues but made no effort to pressure me into getting more done. The whole attitude was basically just here's your report, we trust you to make an informed decision. IF you want more help, let US know. I appreciate not having to deal with the usual high pressure upsell shenanigans. After everything was agreed upon, I just had to wait for the part I needed to be delivered to the shop. They notified me when the part arrived and they were actively working on my car, then they notified me when the work was completed. A few days after I got my car back I received a few texts and a call to check on the status of the repairs and if everything was still satisfactory. A few days later, a card in the mail thanking me for choosing Caton. I waited two months before sharing this review so I could be sure my repairs were actually solid. I've had no issues with my car so far and Caton's service from before they had my money in hand to well after was top notch. When my family vehicles need something else done, I know where we'll be. Friendly as always, great service, they are quick and do an incredible job, they called me with updates on my car and asked if I wanted certain things done and gave me the price before they did it. These people are the best, and the only mechanics I use when I have car issues. They are the epitome of professionalism.Services: Auto interior vacuuming
