The team at CEC is wonderful! Dr. Eugenio Colon is so kind and caring! He has a great way of explaining things that's easy to understand! A big thank you to each one that played a part in my endo surgery. Your kindness did not go unnoticed and was greatly appreciated. A special thanks to the nurse in the OR who held my hand as I went to sleep and told me she has a daughter my age, and she'll treat me as if I were her daughter!
Dr. Kenny Sinervo changed my life! I had been suffering for many years, with so much pain, irregular bleeding and so many other things for so long. Saw many gynecologists before him and they all left me feeling very discouraged. But an amazing human being led me to Dr. Sinervo. He is such a gentle and caring soul. I had procedure done laparoscopic myomectomy April of 2015. Since then, cycles are normal, light flowing and pain free for the first time in my life. Also because of the procedure I then was able to conceive and now have an amazing little girl. God is good all the time! Forever grateful and thankful to have found CEC. Thank you Dr. Sinervo, may God continue to bless you.
TLDR; if you have Endo or think you do, go to Dr. Eugenio Colon. He will change your life for the better with his expertise and humor. Dr. Eugenio- Colon and the entire staff at CEC are amazing, and they saved my life. I’m in my late 20s and was diagnosed with Endometriosis a couple years ago, during an unsuccessful laparoscopic surgery different surgeon and office. My symptoms got worse after that surgery where I was constantly fatigued, cramping, have upper abdominal pain, urinary frequency and intense bloat. It was affecting my quality of life and my job. I finally decided I couldn’t handle the pain anymore, and filled out an application for a phone consult with Dr. Eugenio-Colon at CEC. Fast forward a couple months, to a week after surgery. My husband and I were on the phone with Dr. Eugenio Colon and he informed us that on the pathology report they found cancer of the appendix, stage one. Luckily, we had agreed to take my appendix out before surgery as it’s simply not needed. He saved my life my taking out my appendix. I’m a couple months out, and my surgery was successful, and I am living pain free. Dr. Eugenio- Colon deeply cares about his patients, and simultaneously will have you and your loved ones laughing through your appointments. That’s the level of comfort he provides, while also having deep knowledge and expertise in this field. If you have Endometriosis I cannot urge you enough to go to the CEC. Having a doctor on the cutting edge of teaching and research in their area of specialty is the reason I’m now pain free. Thank you again to the CEC team.
If you’re looking for answers regarding your endometriosis diagnosis you’ve come to the right place. Dr. Eugenio-Colon and the rest of the CEC staff are absolutely amazing! I initially came to CEC due to several failed fertility treatments IUI and IVF. I explained that I had surgery in the past but it had been to remove polyps and small fibroids and I was still was unable to conceive. I explained my most recent IVF attempt resulted in 24 eggs but not a single embryo. Dr. Eugenio-Colon and the nurse were floored. One look at my operative pics and Dr. Eugenio-Colon knew immediately that I had extensive Endo and shouldn’t have done IVF to begin with which my mother suspected all along. Fast forward I am recovering from my surgery and Dr. Eugenio-Colon was amazing. He took care of everything in one surgery! Most ppl need at least 2-3 surgeries but he took his time and really took care of me. The CEC staff were all very welcoming, attentive, and very responsive. I recommend CEC to anyone with Endo or is struggling with infertility due to Endo.
I can’t comment on the clinic itself - I’m sure it’s very good. But I can comment on one of their doctors - Dr. Eugenio Colon. I went to see Dr. Colon at his last place of employment because I felt my endometriosis had returned and Colon was supposed to be an expert. From the first minute I walked in he was arrogant, dismissive & treated me like I was just an overly emotional female. He all but told me it was all in my head and refused to do anything to help me. Well I have since had surgery with another surgeon who, sure enough, discovered deep infiltrating endometriosis that is threatening my kidney. As that doctor wasn’t the “expert” Colon is supposed to be I am now left scrambling trying to find someone who has the expertise and time to deal with this quickly due to the threat it’s posing to my kidney. Had I believed Dr. Colon when he brushed me off I would’ve certainly ended up losing my kidney and who knows what else. So by all means go to this clinic, just steer clear of Dr. Colon.
THE BEST DECISION EVER! Nothing beats going to a specialist! I’ve been dealing with severe endometriosis my whole life. Tried every single type of birth control and therapy on the book but endometriosis works harder. Saw countless and countless OBGYN's since my first period. Even more during my 20’s because the endo and symptoms were unbearable. Fast forward to my mid 30’s plus a husband and two kids later, my symptoms had gotten worse. The first time I met with the CEC, I was diagnosed with a fibroid. First specialist I met with had suggested a partial Hysterectomy. I was on the fence. Checked with my regular OB. OB suggested the same, went back to the CEC a few months later to find that said fibroid had grown even larger and symptoms were worsening. So I decided to get treated by Dr. Eugenio-Colon. Any surgery is a pretty big deal to me and since this surgery required removing a few organs... I was not gonna mess around with just any doctor. Dr. Eugenio-Colon performed a perfect partial hysterectomy. Ovaries were in good health and left them in to keep my youth intact. During my partial hysterectomy, Dr.Colon had found the beginning stages of cancer on my appendix and removed it on the spot. The timing of everything was so serendipitous. Had I gone in for a partial hysterectomy the first time I went in several months before, would they have found the cancer since it was only at the VERY beginning stages? No one is the wiser. Either Way, it has been THE BEST DECISION EVER! Not just because Dr.Colon single- handedly saved me from cancer, but also… nothing beats being done with periods forever. Used to get them every 2 weeks, lasting about 10 days each time, going through 2 boxes of large tampons yup! I will always be thankful to Dr.Colon for his expertise, the good and thorough care performed before + during + and after procedure, and his amazing team for all the hospitality! Bar none. All my love to you Dr.Colon!
After years of suffering from pelvic pain and a slew of other symptoms, Dr. Jose Eugenio-Colon validated me, listened to me, and gave me the best care I have ever received from a doctor. I cannot speak enough good things about this place and this doctor if I tried. I feel so blessed to have received care from Dr. Eugenio-Colon. He is a true advocate for women battling endometriosis and is extremely knowledgeable about this disease. Going to the Center for Endometriosis Care was the best decision I could have made for my health.
I had a previous endometriosis surgery by a different practice and after years of infertility I was still unable to get pregnant after the endometriosis was removed. It was also a very painful recovery experience. I found the CEC online and wanted to give it a try. It was the best thing I ever did. Dr. Sinervo was a great surgeon, the recovery was a more pleasant experience and I was able to get pregnant naturally, a few months after the surgery, with my wonderful son who is 18 months old now.
If you are reading this, you have come to the right place. I’m a 30YO female who has been convinced since she was 14 into thinking she just had bad periods. After years of complaining at my normal OBGYN, they finally mentioned I could have endometriosis. That’s when I started my own research, and I landed here. I have never met a more compassionate and helpful doctor. Dr. Sinervo reviewed my case and was honest about what he thought he could do based on history and imaging. He thought he could give me 85% improvement in my pain. Little did he know I would have taken 25% improvement. My biggest complaint was my constant, excruciating back pain. I met him for the first time, the day before surgery. Dr. Sinervo and his staff were wonderful. They made sure to take the time to answer all of my questions and give me plenty of reassurance. The day of the surgery went smoothly, and when I went to the OR he held my hand until the anesthesia put me to sleep. I’ve never met another doctor who would just sit with you to make sure you are okay. My case ended up being more severe than expected, and I had to stay in the hospital to recover for longer. But I’m so happy with my decision to have him do my surgery. Everyone warned me of my first period after surgery being worse than ever. It wasn’t. I had NO back pain. None. I didn’t realize how many days I spent waiting for my back pain to hit until it didn’t. It was honestly the most relieving experience of my life. I can’t thank Dr. Sinervo and his team enough for helping me. I finally feel like I have my life back and I’m only 2 months post op. I can’t imagine how much better I’ll feel when I’m fully recovered. If you are looking for an endo specialist, Dr. Sinervo is the right surgeon for you.
Dr. Sinervo saved my life. The care that he and his team put into your treatment is unlike any I’ve experienced. He validated what I was experiencing and actually listened to me when I was explaining my pain when other doctors would gaslight me and treat me like an insurance number not a person. Excision surgery should be the gold Standard of care for people with endometriosis not ablation. Having had both surgeries I can personally say the difference is night and day. I went from being bedridden to being able to go to grad school this fall. In addition he was drastically able to raise my chances to conceive when I had none. Completely life altering experience and I will recommend anyone with endometriosis to go here.
