Great for sledding! I recommend you bring a real sled or a diy one with a metal or hard plastic bottom
This section of the park Is beautiful. We were on a hill right next to the statue and over looking the water. It was great to be able to get out and see all the people enjoying a blessed day at Central park.
Nice sledging place.
Best inner city park ever. You would never know that you were in the heart of NYC.
Best hill for sledding.
An idyllic spot for every season. Its slopes are popular for sledding in the winter and picnics in warmer months. Visit in spring to catch the groves of pale flowering Yoshino cherry trees as they burst into bloom. At the top of the hill stands a bronze statue of a Pilgrim, made by acclaimed artist John Quincy Adams Ward
One of the prettiest views in Central Park especially around dusk.
I had quite forgotten the existence of this amazing statue---amazing from its technical complexity. I'm not a fan of commemorating the devastation wrought on the First Peoples but history is history.
Super.nice at noon.
Very nice. Came here during the spring right when the blossoms were blooming, exactly a month ago. It was beautiful. The blossoms were nice and pink, great for taking pictures/selfies. It was an enjoyable spot to have a picnic or relax, especially in the spring. But as a tourist place, best to just take pictures, not anything else.
