A great place to relax, enjoy nature, and perhaps have a nice picnic. This open space is so ideal for sunny days. There is plenty of space, though it can get busy. You will enjoy very good views to all the buildings that surround Central Park.
A great place to relax, play games, people watch, have a picnic, or whatever! I really enjoyed being able to sit under the sun in a grassy area. Plenty of space to spread out, and lots of people doing different things. A few dogs around but mostly well behaved. Also plenty of eye candy, which was appreciated. Also great views of the city skyline!
Lovely part of Central Park to relax or play games with family and friends. Have been here numerous times whilst visiting New York and can’t get enough of it. Very tranquil and a great place to chill and watch the world go by.
Great place to sun tan in the summer. I’ve def seen a lot of sorta fancy rosé sipping glampers on blankets and pillows here when it’s nice out. It’s kind the thing to do if you’re a millennial or gay on a Sunday! Personally I like the off season when it’s closed because then you can get cool pics of the super-tall towers of Billionaire’s Row in reflective puddle pics. I don’t know if they’ll let you have a Quinceañera here but for sure you could have a low-key baby gender reveal party. Just please don’t bring glitter or confetti bombs and trash the lawn. Thanks! :
Beautiful space to be in nature in the middle of the city. Go tan or just have lunch, you'll leave recharged and peaceful.
Nice little oasis where you can lay down and relax in the sun or in the shade under a big tree. It’s not allowed to bring dogs here but some people do it anyway. We didn’t mind but maybe some do.
Nice location and view . Parking can be a pain .. but really close to Colombus circle , there are public bathrooms . Great for picnics and hang out with friends .
Wonderful piece of central park! It has hours between 11 am - 7pm. So be aware, it seems like no one knows that, so please spread the word. Also from the moment it opens on a beautiful day, it's SUPER crowded. So be aware of this important things, still is a great place to have a picnic.
Southern part of the Great Lawn of Central Park. It gets very busy on a nice day. As pictured: April 2, 50-60 degrees.
It's our spot for gathering win friends and chilling. I love the energy of the people there. It is an enjoyable experience to spend some time here.
