Centre Street Deli

Their old fashioned smoked meat sandwich that is hand cut is amazing. Their staff was very helpful. I wish I knew about this place earlier. The sandwich I got ran me about $14 (got double meat) including tip and it was definitely worth it. I now know where to get my hot deli sandwich fix whenever I crave it

What are the last icon delis in Toronto. Been coming here for the past 25 years and I will come here till the day they close. The history of a deli goes far beyond my generation. With it's heritage and classic style meat preparation I love the hand carved classic. Very hard to find a place where they still cut the brisket by hand. I love the mix of age brackets that come here for breakfast and lunch having from Young to very old it's something of a surreal place. The only reason why I'm not giving it a 5 out of 5 just because it's getting slightly expensive for lunch. Pastrami sandwich with fries and coleslaw will run you $20 these days and that's without a drink or tip.

I think Centre Street Deli is the best Jewish deli in the Greater Toronto Area. The medium, hand-cut, old fashioned smoked beef is just about the best anywhere. Most notably is the fact the quality has been perfectly consistent throughout the twelve years i have been going there. The quality remained unchanged even after the owners sold the business to a group of employees a few years ago; that this is so speaks volumes about this place.

Excellent choice of deli sandwiches and hand cut meats! Staff are very friendly and attentive. Items are fairly priced for their portions and quality! Decor is a little dated but fits the atmosphere. Great place for a weekend brunch/lunch.

Definitely the best Deli in the GTA. The Greek salad (Sams Special) is by far the best salad in the world. Definitely try the smoked meats, Latkes, Knish and blintzes. They have dine in and take out and the staff is super friendly.
