Fell in love with this pizza joint instantly; the open plan, outdoor seating in the front and out back, bar, booths, just a lovely space. And obviously the pizza was delicious, really good red sauce! Got the ‘Upside Down Sicilian Pizza Slice’ which had a thick crust and was still crispy on the edges, so so good!
Consistently good customer service. Never had any issues with placing an order for pick-up through phone. However, I really miss the smaller pepperoni topping! It had a more smokey flavor with a nice kick and every single slice cupped beautifully on the pizza Classic Sicilian is my favorite from Centro.
Came across this joint and decided to try it. Look, the staff is nice, some pictures here show good looking sandwiches and stuff but the regular cheese slice i had was a hit and miss meaning the bottom was super solid and very crunchy to the point it felt like eating bread, the mozzarella seemed a whole rubbery layer on top and the sauce was very liquid. Pizza is a serious thing around here. $3 for a regular cheese slice
Here’s a nice with you that you may want to read but my name is panda that’s what everyone calls me, but my visit to the Italian kitchen in Pizza bar was pretty amazing. Now keep in mind, I did use an app called toogoodtogo and my experience was fasting pretty quick. Now, for the selections a pizza that was given to me was a surprise bag and I only spent $5.99 I believe using the TooGoodToGo App. Yeah keep in mind this at the end of the business hours and they were still busy but check out my photos. I was given four slices of pizza and to be honest I never had one of these selected choices that the restaurant decide to give me. The staff was very polite and always smiling. But the surprise of this with you was that I came here before to pick up a vegetarian pizza and it was pretty good but that was about two months ago and I did not write a review for that but now I have a chance to do the right thing and talk about an amazing Italian kitchen in Pizza bar in Long Island city and I think everyone should give it a try.
I wanted something that I didn't see on the menu, but the chef or owner cooked it for me anyway. I had been out of the USA for a while and craving broccoli rabe for some time. This was the best broccoli and sausage I've ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The establishment is so impeccably clean you'd eat your dinner off the floor. The service was outstanding. There's indoor, patio, and backyard dining. You can't go wrong here. These people take what they do seriously, and it shows.
While I've had thicker deep dish pizza compared to theirs their pizza was nonetheless quite filling. The backyard was a nice place to dine in.Food: 5/5
Heard so much about Centro Pizza I knew we had to check out .I had come into the city to have dinner with some friends. We hadn't yet decided where to go but we knew that we wanted some good pizza. Unfortunately, at our arrival the restaurant was packed, but the host and the wait staff were very kind, super friendly and helped us to get a seat as soon as we could. The staff were also very helpful in explaining about what foods might be best to order. We ordered 3 different types of pizzas. All of them were delicious. The bread of the pizza was perfectly soft and airy. The toppings tasted so fresh and delicious. Overall, I had an amazing experience! Greatest pizza place in NYC we started to come here on regular basis. It’s so great, we love it!
I love this pizza. I love that there’s always fresh out the oven pies in the store. I’ve eaten a lot pizza in my life. Centro stands out. This is foldable pizza. It’s not gonna crack & cut ur mouth up. They also got some crispy slices w toppings & squares but I’m takin about the plain pie.. The sauce is a lil sweet. And that hits the spot for me. Centro also happens to be the closest pizza to me. If it was farther, I’d prob still order it the most. Staff is super nice too. Make you feel like family. & they got a big outdoor space. Centro checks all the boxes. . Thanks centro
Its hard to find a Pizza that satisfies the urge for old school taste with a twist. The sauce is good, not over powering and their cheese is amazing. Had 6 six slices from here, 2 pepperoni, 2 grandma and 2 sausage. All were just pretty much perfect.Food: 5/5
Got a slice a few minutes before closing - they were cleaning up, and I know sometimes it's difficult to attend someone who comes in just before closing after having, possibly a long day at work. But everyone there, were friendly and didn't express any frustration and even seemed to be apologetic for not being able to take CreditCard because they were closing and only take cash. good thing I had cash on me! All that being said, the quality of pizza was great - a good "NY pizza slice" that hits the spot as you walk back home after a long day.
